Hi all,

Many thanks for the responses, we're now sorted.

Keep an eye out for the article in a forthcoming issue of CKC.

Cheers,

Chris

Chris

Not a bespoke built unit but I am running a S1 RS turbo CVH in my locost.

It has now fitted with aftermarket ECU, custom radiator, intercooler and oil cooler to keep under bonnet temperatures into sensible limits.

If you are interested let me know and I will pop a couple of photos up.

I'm just starting a monster (re) build YB turbo Westfield. It's going to be very high spec as I've blown 2 engines in 2 years trying to get it right.

Nikasil lined 200 block with piston spray jets
Dry sump
Arrows crank
Carrillo long rods
8.5:1 cr.
Ported 4x4 head with bd14 ex and bd16+ In. cams
Possibly efr7163 twin scroll turbo
Custom manifold
Custom charge cooling system
Custom cooling system
Motec m400 ecu

Engine based on an ex rally cross jge unit.

Mine is not turbocharges but is a adequately smile powered NA. My advice would be plan your cooling systems very carefully as if you can keep temps under control you have a much higher chance of reliability.

That sounds immense! I've been a fan of the Dakar 4X4 ever since I got a ride round the Exeter Kit Car off road course as a kid. smile

Just picked up a copy from my local newsagents. I really like the installation in the MNR!
