Next year I might be in a position where I can get the funds together to buy myself a Grinnall scorpion.

I've always said to myself id get one at the age of 25, and as its my 25th birthday on Monday, and I'm starting a new job in a few weeks, I have already started thinking about setting aside some of my spare income for one.

I've owned my Lomax for just over 6 and a half years and whilst I absolutely love its honesty and simplicity, I feel I want more performance. But I still like the ridiculousness of a three wheeler.

I've sat in a few grinnall scorpions and they have oodles of cockpit space, which is great, but what are they like to drive, upkeep and generally live with?

Anyone had any first-hand experience!?

Driven a number over many years but never owned one. Very individual cars with quite breathtaking performance with the bigger engined cars. Very very idiosyncratic and challenging to use regularly IMO.

If you can afford the premium they attract I would certainly try one or two they are in a different league to the Lomaxes which I am sure you already realise! Great fun car but I am unsure about regular long term use. You have youth on your side! Go for it! Certainly one of the quickest three wheelers I have ever driven. Good luck to you in your quest!
