Has it ever had a brake actuating system on it? Note I avoided asking servo or non servo.

If it had but you don't know what then start by looking at the hole pattern on the bulkhead or pedal box.
If the hole where the brake rod would come through has a pattern of 4 holes around it probably in a square about 100-150mm across then it had a servo. If there are just 2 holes set above and below the rod hole then it just had a master cylinder. The 2 holes will be about 70mm apart.

thanks for the replies. yes it does have two holes about 70mm apart and four more so it looks like someone were in the process of changing it.

a mate said it should have a fluid level indicater on it as it was registered in 1988 .
