My midtec did suffer from overheating, the previous owner added a high power fan (the volts drops rapidly and the car speeds up when is on so it must be high power) and removed the bonnet vents infront of the rad and put a exit in the bonnet after the rad (biggest issue in cooling is usually where does the hot air go)
Midtec now for sale as I've bought a tamora and no space in the garage, love the noise of the tamora but the midtec's 4-wheel drifts were epic, the 2.1pinto is great as it had so much torque and revs to 7500. I think you'll love it

I have a Midtec Spyder. I had a 2.0 Pinto engine with twin 45s but it was very thirsty.
I did have a few overheating issues initially but it was down to air locks in the system as opposed to air cooling the radiator.
I had an additional bleed point at the top of the radiator to get rid of the problem. The aluminium cooling pipes down the side should help the cooling. I put my heater matrix above the steering rack to provide another source of cooling.
I have a 2ltr Renault turbo in in now and have had no issues with cooling.
I presume you have an electrical thermostat in the line of the radiator as opposed to in the actual engine thermostat housing?
