A good friend is selling his supercharged MEV Rocket which at high tune has 300bhp... so roughly 550/tonne

although already built, and I see you're looking for a project to do yourself, if not specifically this car maybe consider something like this?

Personally, I have a turbo charged MEV Exocet which is just under 400/tonne and it's pretty incredible. 0-60 in 3.6s smile

I almost bought one of these a couple of years back but ended up with the Cobra. I visited the factory, the owner is a top bloke and the products are first class. They're in Oz, not sure what that means for export etc but at the price id say nothing would touch them with an LSA on board biggrin

Its not the most pretty of exo frame kits but the mev exocet uses the understated mx5 as a base. IN base for its sounds weak with the highest outout being 142bhp but they are extremely easy to turbo infact the engine was originally desgined for it.

Mine is running a g19 turbo kit td04 turbo and me221 ecu which is around 2k car can be built for good track use for around 6-8k which will easy get 250bhp and be extremely reliable. Forge the internals and ad a few other parts and there is one in the country running 435bhp on road based fuel and 600bhp on ethanol.

As a previous poster stated about jeffw sylva phoenix is a proper bit of kit meet him at a sprint both running same weekend in the same class on the 100 layout was about 4s slower and the 300 layout was around 6s slower, I'm planning on bigger brakes on the rear stock atm, upping the power from 220bhp currently to 250-260bhp and adding soft compound slicks hopefully can run with him next year at some point and see how close I can get.

Has to be a kit. I need the project.
Not a kit as such, but certainly a project...how about this?:

Put pretty much whatever power plant you want in it (within the bounds of reason anyway). Chassis is easy to tweak to accept a wide range of options - I'm putting an Alfa V6 in mine.
