the more often i view this car, the more i think its a rattle can paint job.....

yep...the body was yellow before, old wiring loom, old shocks, old-style pedal box, fuse-box with old-style fuses (prone for contact-problems), and watch the battery-tray: during respray the battery must have been a different one, fixed with big washers. now you can see overspray around the formerly fitted washers.

conspiracy theory mode ON:

the car was road registered as sylva striker with x/flow engine.
car was converted to zetec, updated for the movie and prepared for exporting to Nigeria
hence, the sylva v5c wasnt important anymore.
sylva v5c was sold or re-used already for another car
Export failed
car is now sold without paperwork for IVA

conspiracy theory mode OFF

According to Classic Car Buyer, there were two of these cars sold at auction in December.
IIRC one for about 5k and the other about £3k.
Built by RAW for a film.

I've heard all about this car from someone else who went to see it, and he advised to steer well clear. £1k to get it through IVA was more than a little optimistic...
