Microcar design - windscreen suggestions

I'm working on a design for a microcar using a Yamaha quad as a base. Chassis and running gear is already thought out but for the bodywork shape it depends on windscreen as custom items are very expensive. I will be building to MSVA rules and a toughened car rear screen has the appropriate markings. I know laminated is now standard for every new vehicle but if I bought a classic microcar like Isetta (had one before), Berkeley (had T60), Trojan, Scootacar etc they would only have toughened screens 
I recently had a Secma Funtech project that required a new screen - replacement was around £300 so don't want to fall into the same trap of an expensive item for my new project.
Basically I am after a narrow rear screen that has no HRW and rubber mounted rather than bonded off a reasonably common vehicle which is slightly curved. I reckon hatch or estate glass will be better than a saloon. The original Ford Ka item is perfect shape - but bonded and HRW !
Any suggestions.

Will your microcar design be a two seater ? if so, have you thought about a quadricycle windscreen ? here is a Ligier Ambra screen :

What dimensions are you looking for ?
What about a simple plain flat glassplate.
Would probably be the cheapest solution.
Or go to France and check out one of the many microcar dealers over there.
Or go to the www.rumcars.org museum to see what is/was used on other microcars.
And may I advise you to go and talk to the good people at https://www.pilkington.com/en-gb/uk/automotive/us-...

Am forgetting using a rear window as too difficult to source something suitable.
Now considering Piaggio APE items. They are fitted to current models so have the appropriate markings required for MSVA.
The slightly curved 50cc windscreen is only available in toughened but cheap at £50.02 + vat.
The larger Classic screen is more to what I'm after as more curved, wider, laminated and only £120.83 + vat.
