we are also building a second 6r4
In the spirit of accuracy, you aren't building a 6R4, really are you? It's a 6R4 lookalike. Even replica would be pushing it!
yes that is my car in your earlier post. Z cars built the chassis then i've carried out the rest of the work myself. After looking into the cost of buying and running an genuine 6r4 I decided this would be the best route to take. It has a full spaceframe chassis with double wishbone front suspension and trailing arm rear suspension with coilovers all round. The cooling system uses a Davis Craig water pump and water pump controller. The engine is a K20A honda civic type R,fitted with a Jackson Racing supercharger running 8psi. The gearbox is now fitted with a quaife lsd. I'm currently building a revised and uprated chassis which will be built to the same spec as the original car with a view to selling it as a complete car and also as a kit. Hope this anwsers a few questions for you.
i dont have a build thread for it atm as its kind of hush hush (even though i have just posted a pic on here lol)
im still doing research on how to build up the rear end due to it not being mid engined RWD its front engined 4WD, chassis is made and engine is mounted where it should be next is to mount the rear subframe and then i will hit a wall of what to do next in a sense of how the floor pan looks in an original 6R4 and how rear suspension is mounted so on the hunt for pics to give me and idea of where to go next
if anybod can help it would be amazing
here a pic of how tight the engine will be (before the front end was replaced with template front end)

Are you doing an Evo drivetrain swap then? There's already one running around somewhere - I remember seeing a link to it on PH. Looks and goes well. im still doing research on how to build up the rear end due to it not being mid engined RWD its front engined 4WD, chassis is made and engine is mounted where it should be next is to mount the rear subframe and then i will hit a wall of what to do next in a sense of how the floor pan looks in an original 6R4 and how rear suspension is mounted so on the hunt for pics to give me and idea of where to go next

Not sure it's the one I was referring to though. Still an evo 6R4 all the same.
