Now which looser wanna drive around in fake Ferrari.

Using a Ferarri is 90% driving pleasure and 10% looks.

There are still some idoits who dont realize this and buy these kits. -------------- Herd they sell new lives in kit form, better buy one of that before the car itself.

Cant imagine these loosers build and sell them in Britain. I swear we will never allow this kind of st on to Dubai soils ever.
Wow what an incredibly ill informed and retarded first post, congratulations!

As I see it there are those who can simply afford such luxuries (let's face it they are) and like any car it was a vision of someone's who brought it to life (at great expense) so it was someone's vision that cost a fortune to produce. I agree that the lines are nice and clean and doubtless that the aerodynamics have been carefully sculptured, the engine, drive train and suspension are also (special) in that they have also cost a fortune to build. I worked as a plasterer for over 30 years and never had the money to buy a new ferrari, kids, house etc..and personally would put that kind of money into property, cars like these are rich man's toys as they don't need to worry about running costs, servicing et al'. Owning a kit car is as good as owning the real thing providing you have an 'imagination' most folk today don't, they are too focused on money (lack of) or bills, so I think that to own such a car would certainly reduce everyday stress as it is nice to be seen out and about in such cars. I mean really, who cares at the end of the day what people think?
You live you're life the way you want and if someone does not like the idea of you driving around in a replica/fake (whatever) it's their opinion right? I think I speak for most (if not all) when I say that we are faced with mankind's largest struggle to survive, times ahead are not looking good economically. We have to put things into perspective, a car is what it is, it may be faster or better looking but it is still just a form of transport is it not?

They are great to work on and the satisfaction when finished is unrivalled, I built a dax cobra some years ago and loved it, I even sold it and made a little profit but it was the comments I appreciated the most, virtually everyone said that it looked awesome and sounded nice too (tricked out rover v8 with cross bolted mains fast cams etc) the handling was tight and felt really nice to drive. Most supercar kits look brilliant providing they are done properly, of course they won't handle like the original or sound like it but does that make them any worse? Sat behind the wheel of a 360 replica/fake would still give plenty of satisfaction no matter how it handles. I also own a fake rolex and it has never lost time in over 5 years, maybe I got a good one? Some say that it is tantamount to stealing but again I say, why are these things ONLY for the super rich? Surely if we cannot afford to buy and run real ones (most can't) then a replica/fake is the best option, who cares what 'they'(manufacturers) think, they have their cake and eat it everday, not offered as a retirement gift for their workers! I will also say that I wonder how many download or have downloaded movies/music via torrents, not to mention using newsgroups etc? Is this also not stealing? In the end it is down to one's perspective, I for one don't care about large corporations wanting to suck every penny from our pockets and then chase us around the internet for downloading a movie (that probably fails anyway) the same goes for these large car concerns, my view is that we should be able to build whatever we like, after all, they do don't they?

A friend of mine is building a 360 and using the pug V6 setup, as he is a talented panel beater and all round engineer I am sure that when it is finished it will look the same as the original. Another thing I think worth mentioning is tools; I own a large amount of tools, not snap-on or anything like that yet they managed to build a cobra from scratch, would I have got any more pleasure out of owning a ridiculously expensive tool kit? Perspective is how YOU view it, that's all that matters in the end.

Peace.

Out of interest, how did you know it was real one? It may have been another duel engined pugerarri?

Each to their own, if it makes you happy then that's all that matters eh.

If you are going to build a Ferrari replica at least do it properly.

I am using an F355 as a donor for mine.

Anything without at least a flat plane V8 simply will not do.

What if it's a 246 Dino replica?

No. Using a £15k wrecked F355 Ferrari to build a replica of a $10m P4 is not madness.

But it won't be a REAL P4, and as we know from the more learned gentlemen that have posted here, who have educated us lesser mortals, it will therefore only ever be a replica, and so utter ste that should be crushed under the mighty foot of conformity.

Sorry, n all that.
