Hi Italo,

They've been rather quiet, but yes it is still being built and they've got an open top version due.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for the info, and looking forward in seeing one, maybe at Stoneleigh this year?

Just glanced through this thread and a remark that the Kamala had been around longer than the DZ (I wouldn't mention the two in the same breath!).

The DZ is a superb bit of automotive genius, and was very well screwed together. I drove one for hundreds of miles - it was fabulous.

I well remember being at DARE around 1992 when Mark Walklett was 'knocking' the car together in it's early stages - it was a 'longgggggg' time being perfected (I thought it was a Rocket... I was not far wrong!!) So, much earlier than the Kamala - I doubt very much Dax had even anything in their heads about such a vehicle in 92.

The sad part was the rubbishing of the DZ by the mainstream Auto Distress and Lotus Weekly.

Well that's because you clearly have a twisted bias Danny boy.

Don't know when design work on the Kamala started, but Dax had it on the market in 1996, some two years before the DZ, so as far as I'm concerned the Kamala came first.

Haven't driven the DZ but do have a lot of respect for the Walklett's cars and love the G4. Would agree it's a pity they don't get the respect or coverage they deserve from the mainstream motoring press, but then as we know most mainstream motoring hacks (and editors) don't seem to have a clue about specialist cars.
