Not wanting to sound negative, but how much space is there between the rear wheels and the back of the car?

From the side views it doesn't look like alot. (Which is good, wheels at the corners, small overhangs thumbup)

Not sure you'll be able to fit the exhausts between the wheel and the rear bodywork as it stands

Yes it does look close in the pictures, however there is in fact quite a bit of room and over 300mm from were the exhaust is shown to the tyre.

I will need to make my entire exhaust from scrtach as I plan a two stage exhaust with a rear silence bypass valve.... and this kind of extended curved rear tailpipe will lend itself nicelly to the design I have in mind.

I have been busy making the rear end over the last couple of weekends, due to some complex compound curves (I make nothing easy for myself) I have had to make formers just to make the buck.
But this is were I am now.

Coming along nicely

Have you thought about a rear towing eye and what you might connect it to ?

Does that rear spoiler have to be so large?

OOOOOH yes.
Choice of material is a bit suspect but if it's all you could run too!!!!

Looking good there Andy thumbup

glad you are posting all these - it's made me even more determined to get the CNC mill made so I don't have to go through this part of the proceedure!

OK I am feeling a little hard done by today so am determined to turn the day around.

So on a possitive note I have finalised the rear end design of my car.....
I have taken the actual picture above and edited it in PSP until I was happy (with some refinement from our resident master Davi).

You might want some fences on the end of the rear diffuser, just a though.

Looking sleek though.

Oooooooooo I'd be scared driving my Westy behind that beast. I hope there aren't going to be flames coming out of those bad ass exhausts you would scorch my eyebrows.

Have you also thought about a blown diffuser & also having the rear wing follow the rear bodywork profile. e.g. dropping down in the middle, that would look awsome

I think the man might be on to something with a drooped rear wing - certainly something to play with.

I don't think that would look so good...and that would also mean less rearview(if you have some) because that spoiler would be in the way...?
Maybe(also means less rearview) you can work with a double deck spoiler so leave that spoiler about the way it is, but add a shorter spoiler a bit lower, that would visualy fill the lines and add more roadpressure on the rear...(maybe to much drag though but you can play with that depends how you adjust it)

A drooped wing would also help with mass flow over the wing

Looking good Andy, for what its worth drooped rear wing would look good in my opinion, look forward to getting down to see you hopefuly before Christmas for a better look!

By the looks of the interest the GTT project has generated on here, full production beckons.... don't forget when you have made your first million from this I know a good IFA to help you
