I think these are right:

Euro Kit Car show Detling, Kent 3-4 April

Nat Kit Car show Stoneliegh 2-3 May

Nat Kit Car Festival Newark 19-20 June

Festival of Speed Goodwood 25-27 June

Great North Kit Car show Harrogate 13-14 August

Nat Kit & Performance Show Donnington 18-19 September

I thought you would know anyway with what you do 'n'all?

What I do? Oh you flatter me, what I do involves computers, electroninics and being a boffin. The rest of the time I'm hooked on kitcars and am trying to write a few things up for fellow enthusiasts...it's a bit awkward though as I have loads of ideas put forward but absolutely no authority to make things happen, or any way of knowing if they will get printed. Hell, I even submit things and don't get a "thanks thats crap try again", nothing, I suppose you could say I'm wasting my time writing something that no one has asked for but fortunately I'm writing more for my own sake. I've never been good at english and want to push myself by seeing if I can put my ramblings down on paper.

Thanks for the Dates though, it's so that I can go off and come up with a plan for the Action days. Bad news about the Lotus test track at Hethel though, they insist on full roll over protection now, Cadwell and Elvington are still very much in place, but I'm wanting a venue darn sarf aswell. Rockingham is wonderfully central , but at 12 Grand per day, plus VAT!!! I think not, not out of MY pocket, on the off chance that LOTS of people arrive.

Also, don't go wearing out that driving icon

I read your piece in "Kit Car" this month Matthew, very interesting, btw.

Next year I will try to take in, Stafford, Stoneleigh, Harrogate, Fleetwood and possibly Donnington. (I might be able to smuggle Den in ,in my boot)....

I think they are correct. Most were taken from another website.

As for Stafford. When (if) you get WK? this month the advert is on p127. Stafford Car Craft 2004 is on 13/14th March. It's free entry to kit car drivers. Makes a change from Donnington.

Just A thought, but if I go to the entrance & say I'm a kit car driver (which I could be by then) but I haven't brought it, will I get in free?

That's what the advert says!

They have also got a secondhand sales area. So lots of others could be kit car drivers before they leave. Do they get a refund?

I'm off to blag some bits for my Marlin.

Must admit I wass disappointed with Stafford this year. Having been to Stoneleigh and Donnington, the Stafford one was a bit poor. Not very big, not a lot of stands and the entry fee was way to much.

Also Autosport International at the NEC 10/11 January. Not strictly a kitcar show but loads of interesting stuff.

I thought about taking a photo of all my bits in the garage - at least to prove I have a kit!

What a laugh!

I wonder what the organisers would do if we all turned up with pics of part build cars and valid reg docs?

Stafford show is a very poor second, to Newark, Donington and Stoneleigh (imo of course), but nevertheless is worth attending as it is one of the first shows of the year, and serves as a taster for the coming season..

Plenty of tool stands inside though, yes, well worth going...

And you get chance to meet Fibs....

Also, as my eldest son is at Stafford University 500 yards away I can get free kip for the night in his tip, (sorry room)....

Well that's typical The date I pick for my wedding has to be the same as the Newark Show! Well, sorry lads, but I'm not cancelling my wedding and won't be getting a refund for my honeymoon - not even for kit cars. But it's ok, I promise I'll miss you all very much while I'm surfin' in Hawaii

Right Wacky,
Zis is ze plan.
Next time you visit your son, you must bring him a spade. If he can tunnel 500yards in the next 5 months, then we’ll turn up at his pad over that w/e.

To make it interesting, financially speaking, we could pay him half the gate fee and he might be able finance his way through college w/o bothering you.

If he’s really switched on, he could lay on a bar, refreshments and a magazine stand.

You been watching "The Great Escape" Den???

Good idea, but with one serious flaw, knowing our luck we will tunnel through, and come up in the middle of the "Which Kit?" stand, get arrested by Filby's henchmen, lined up against the wall and shot...

I think I'll stick to paying my 8 quid at the door

ps: What did the Gestapo officer say to the grandfather clock which had stopped working?
