To be honest, I wish some people would read all the threads before posting.

blimey, there aren't enough hours in the day to track this whole saga.

meeja said:
Den has stated in at least two threads that i can think of that the attacks on pinnochio in his magazine have now ceased.

Yes I saw that. Though this is not so in the issue currently on the shelves. I guess production lead times are the explanation.

meeja said:

Yet people still drag it up again and again? By posting comments about the attacks, it is just going to wind our Den up (justifiably) and if he didn't vent his anger here, he would probably self combust!

You've got to be joking surely? There was me trying to ignore the whole thing and gently suggest he (Kitcarman) focus on the positive contribution he can clearly make, and actually all the time I have been an annoying troll without realising, baiting “your” poor old Den, who has just been quietly trying to avoid the subject!

kitcarman said:

You describe what Fib’s has done (is still doing) as “minor civil wranglings” and his quietness as “keeping some dignity”.

OK, so maybe what I should have said to be more accurate is that your undignified actions have made his slight remnants of dignity look vast by comparison. IMHO of course.

kitcarman said:

Sadly, that indicates that you patently haven’t yet got the point.

Or have you considered that maybe I have, but don’t really care? Sorry if that’s a bit blunt. You have obviously been greatly personally affected by this saga, but my interest is in the cars not your business wrangling. I know you are positioning yourself as self-appointed industry watchdog but you too have a vested interest (though maybe not so much as Filby) but still it doesn’t really wash.

kitcarman said:

… I’ve not recently raised any new threads on this subject…

… Others have posted new threads which were clearly going to attract my response

So who is driving this debate?

Don’t get me wrong out there, I’m well into participation but feel slightly miffed at being blamed for all the fall-out.

Fair enough. How about an amnesty? No-one mentions this whole sordid topic any further? I’ll be the first to agree to that!

Are you saying that if a man committed murder (Regardless of what he may of may not have done) and he kept his gob shut (by not getting dragged into the public slanging) then he’d be alright (at least Filby is keeping some dignity) in your sight?

Using this example..... it would be wrong for an individual who was related/connected to the victim to investigate the crime, let alone sit on the jury.

Right I second this.

Den
be warned, there may be people that will stir it up to get a response just for entertainment purposes.
Lets all agree not to bite.

Er, surely if at least two people want to discuss something they can, can't they? I mean if it's not been discussed before. It's easy enough not to read or comment if you aren't interesred. We don't want to stop free speech....

But I’m not investigating, I’m reporting .

Is it wrong for a victim to report a (series of) crime(s) ?

Den.

Take it Den isn't agreeing not to respond to this topic. Oops, have I just broken our new amnesty?

It was 18.16 yesterday, that Chris suggested:

As far as I can see, absolutely no-one appears to be saying "this KC/WC saga is really interesting, tell me more". So if we all stop mentioning it, and Kitcarman has supposedly said he won't mention it except in response to others posts, then it should all go away.

So, anyone who mentions either mag from now on is therefore blatantly trolling and deserves to be treated accordingly, surely?

Got to be worth a try, hasn't it?

Will all of you be at Exeter?

BTW I haven't told anyone yet - It looks like I can pick up my kit in December!!!!
Looks like it'll Turkey sarnie's in the garage for Xmas dinner!

What a choice!

6000 calories and TV programmes you've seen a thousand times, or freezing cold in the garage scraping the skin off your knuckles every time the spanner slips....

I know where I'd be...... and would probably be in the divorce court a week later!

I bet you can't wait can you?

Ex-Biker, I'm really interested in seeing how the build progresses on your 5EXi. On another thread there was some discussion as to whether you might run on online build diary. How about it, any conclusion?

Even if you didn't have the time for something all-singing all-dancing (which would be understandable as I'm sure you'll be in the garage every spare minute!), how about just finding somewhere on the web to chuck a series of piccys on a regular basis?

I think you'd be amazed how many people would look at it. I once posted up a few snaps from a visit to the Dax open day on Webshots, posted the link on here and had hundreds of views.

Agreed. I love reading construction diaries, but the added bonus with Ex-B's is that it's such a new model that his diary would probably be the first!

Remember, even if you just post pics onto a bit of webspace somewhere, you can always turn it into a diary at a later stage.

Also, if web design isn't your strong point, I'm sure there are enough IT friendly PH'ers around....

I've already started a diary and done it using a web hosting program (Serif webplus 6). What a load of . Looks ace on my computer. But that's no use if I can't get it on the Web!!

I'm looking for free webspace at the mo. The problem is that most of what I can find want you to post in HTML. Now I'm no programmer and have no inclination of learning html (I'll be in the garage, or A&E when I drop the engine on my foot).

I don't mind using Frontpage (I understand bits of that) but every time I think I've got a free web space host that'll accept it, I have problems in applying. (eg "sorry, due to the massive response we are currently upgrading our server." Wot for 4 weeks!!)

HELP!

Exeter has a very nice shopping centre and an excellent pub (can't remember the name) half way down the main street in a cellar. Between Tesco metro and Lakeland I think.

Mrs Spartan_andy will love it!
And just think with you at the show, she'll be able to buy your present too.

You never know, Den might have a creche for the brats!

Looks like there is definately something to this creche idea though, don't you think?
