The only donor bits will be the engine which will be fully rebuilt.
All the uprights, wishbone etc.etc will be new and made by RV.

When I looked into the car originally it became clear that very little was used off the jag appart from the engine and electronics.
I think it was only the front wishbones & uprights, and the rear lower wishbone was used as a drive shafts .... I wanted the front suspension reworked anyhow so it all needs fabricating anyway (rear was all fabricated by RV already).... and I already have some expensive new GKN drive shafts (Ultima ones).

Thus the only bits I will be using that are Jag will be the steering rack which I will purchase new from Jag (at great expense!).

I have to say it's adding an awfull lot to the cost of my car by demanding that everthing is new, I recon I could knock £8-10k off by using donor parts.

good luck with the car , I think there are a lot of us who believe Vince is an innocent party in this - We are all listening with interest to your experiances.

NB you could use my trick , "forget" to tell the wife you have bought it , and build at a mates - unfortunately they usually find out in the end !!!! in my case that was a year and a half, and another year and a half till she started to talk to me again!!

and I can hardly believe the valves never touched the pistons when the cam snapped……

Hmmm seems I may be wrong as two of the valves seem a little too tight....... I suspect they may be sightly bent.

Still at least I have another 70 to choose a good set from!

Started playing with PSP..... and this rendering business is much harder than it looks.
Anyhow this is just one of my idea's of how I might change the car and IMHO bring the 'look' more up to date.

Edited to point out that I have only changed the front bumper.

IMHO you need to change the B/C pillar window to make it look more up to date with a swoopy-line as if penned by an Italian

IMHO keep changes to a minimum. Car styling is one of those things best left to the experts I reckon. We'd all love to be able to do it, but in reality it takes years of practice and no small amount of talent to avoid coming up with something that looks like an atrocity. Plenty of the dodgier kit car designs over the years have been testament to that!

sorry, just checked out a real testarossa and the windows are similar , so the design really is Italian . Shows what rose-tinted specs can do to your memory.

YER andy you should leave the styling to the experts
think its easier to make than to draw as never drew any of the (mark 1) nemesis !!!

I don't think you can quite see the difference me playing with the bumper makes from just this photo so on this page I done some before and afters.

'Scuse I for being fick, Andy, but what's going on on that page? I recognise the top right picture as being your PSP rendering, but the other three...?

Do you have any info on the front and rear suspension geometry and how stiff is the chassis?

Front is Jag XJ12, rear is a "Vince" special. As one that has had the opportunity to either own, ride in or drive numerous supercars, this is the first and only one I would consider as a daily driver. Unexpected interior room and none of the Supercar blind spots.

I am in fact ordering one. If you ever call it a kit car in my presence, expect me to pipe up and correct you. The quality of the car is too good!

No body roll even when pushed hard. Vince says he feels she has pulled close to 2 g's on the track and I can not argue with him! We did 400 plus miles the Friday before the Stafford show. Rain, ice, snow and wind - none affected her and we got about 27 mpg. From lanes to the M's she was in a class by her own. If you drive one, you will not believe it!

On Monday on the M5 at close to 100 we smelled rubber. I slowed thinking it was a truck (sorry I am a Yank and do not know how to spell "lorrie"). Slowed to 80 and felt a slight shudder. Pulled over and I was shocked that we had a flat right front tire! What else can you say about the car!

The only problem is the attention you get in her. As much as any other car I have ever been in. When you get tired of it, just press the button and you are gone!

USDaytona - thanks again Ozzie Dave!!!! (have not yet joined the forum, so Vince let me use his)

What I do know Vince, after a quick google, is that the McLaren F1 had a maximum of 0.86g lateral acceleration. The Enzo Ferrari and Koenigsegg CC appear to have a max in the region of 1.1.

I've no doubt that it's a good car. I can't imagine anyone selling an Ultima to build one if they weren't convinced of it's abilities, but plainly incorrect claims don't do you any favours.

USDaytona here again,

I'll take the heat for the 2.0g comment, since I penned it. I did not mean to say that the Nemesis would pull 2.0 on a skid pad. Folks say the modern F1 Ferrari puts 5g's of force on your head and neck in heavy braking. I would not expect them to pull a 5.0g on a skid pad. I took the Nemesis into a roundabout and she surprised me. It appears I used the wrong example to try to say what I felt.

I believe you were quoting published skid pad numbers for those cars. I apologize for any inconvience and confusion, especially to Vince's reputation.

I suggest you drive a Nemesis and maybe we can get her on a skid pad. We can then compare real numbers to what "you felt". Thanks for pointing it out.
