hi S1RST im very interested in viper build if stil available please get in touch
Excellent lurking!Well - as previously stated in this thread - our kit car has changed hands.
The engine it seems the V6 cologne we had rebuilt with the bespoke 5 speed MT75 manual box was not sufficient for the job and was to be dumped for a V8 TVR/Rover unit.
I can understand the view but the V6 was ok for a starter. Cant beat a V8 burble though I have to agree.
Anyway - moving on to the real reason for my sudden reply to my abandoned project.
Looks like we have a new company producing the Viper Kits in Warrington.
And with improvements!
New jigs for chassis fabrication all based around the Jaguar S Type / X200 platform.
The chassis will take the suspension, and full powertrain components easily with this new set up.
Modified propshafts are available on an exchange scheme too.
The very fact that you can use the Jaguar suspension wishbones is so much better than the original steel fabricated ones.
Better quality - less weight.
Only advice I would give is make sure the front vertical links - have good condition bottom ball joints as these are very common for poor wear and tear. Although I think if they have been replaced once in the lifetime of the original vehicle the replacements are a little more robust.
So - take a look at this new site:
http://www.creativesportscars.com/
The added difference with this company is they are reaching out to early Venom Viper owners - to offer parts supply or advice on current 'stalled projects'.
This deserves a look - and I hope this company will continue to help others complete their Viper project - where we have failed.

Well the above project has changed hands. I am still looking for a body. I thought I had found one but I didn't need the whole project and I just missed out. Anyway I am in the middle of checking all torques and mechanical fixings so they comply with the current iva manual. Next thing is to remove the asmatic ford v6 for a tvr/rover v8. Anyway i know this is a relatively unsupported car with the rights recently moving from vindicator to an unknown company who I believe are recreating the kit with a BMW 3 series donor but as of yet I haven't heard of them. Again if anyone else is building one feel free to get in touch. I might add that this isn't my first build I have a 2.0 zetec Westfield in the garage too but I do love the viper.
Any news on the progress of this build? I’d love to know if it was finished.
