Enquiring on behalf of a friend who has a rusty MOT-failed (mechanically sound) mk1 Discovery in his farmyard... What could he turn it into? Apparently an NCF Sahara is the favoured choice currently.

I think that's rather cool. Does look like it's missing a machine gun mounting though currently. wink

Does look quite fun (particularly the pick up - is it wrong of me to say that?) but apparently he's tried to contact them without any reply. Not sure the company's in business any more.

I understand it was originally designed by Drew Bowler before he moved on to his Wildcat project.

Hi Nick,

It was the Dakar people he couldn't get in touch with. I believe you guys have just sent him a build manual or something actually and he's seriously considering it.

I now jut have to persuade him to stick a nice big TVR Power V8 in there, not the crappy old IDI diesel.

If you are interested in NCF there is a 8 page feature in the Feb issue of Kit Car Magazine, out on the 22nd Jan.

It seems to me that the windscreen slopes back at too steep an angle. Thing is this pic and the ones on the website are all from a funky low angle, so I am unable to get a realistic idea of what the car looks like.
