Den will be back shortly, but I've insisted that he sticks to discussing kit cars. I'm not prepared for PH to become evidence in any further legal battles!

Deliberately didn't buy WK this morning after reading this post yesterday. Have been debating wether to buy both or not (getting too expensive what with buying bits for the car) and I nearly boycotted KC mag with its extra entries from den however after coming on here getting a large percentage of the story not all but enough I decided to carry on with both when den stopped his additions to the mag.

Now Philby has started!!! This was exactly the behaviour we were trying to stop so I'm not going to buy it.

I'll just read the highlights that people post on here.

By the way Den..... Have been watching "A Car Is Born" on the re-runs on Discovery H&L.....

Love the bit where you are trying to convince Mark Evans to fit a Chevvy rather than his Sierra Pinto.....

Didn't notice any outlandish jumpers though....

I read about the fraudulent WK adverts with horror and disgust -

sorry if i an nit-picking but this says all WK adds are Fraudulant dose it not ? are we getting a DEN view here (one of his mats?)

and if you read some of the threads hear you will find Kit Car has printed Frudulant clams !!!

beauford said:

I never doubted WK's integrity until the moment that I first saw Den's missives in KC. It became clear that WK was simply telling lies, not just about its readership - but about production kits - making exaggerated claims about cars before they were even built.

So you beleave every thing DEN PRINTS ???not sure evryone here dose???
beauford said:

This is Kit Car behaviour at its very worst - just the sort of thing that used to happen in the bad old days when a new 'kit car' would pop up and advertise, take some deposits and then disappear without a trace. This is exactly why it is so difficult for new kits to start up,

Can see where you are comming from ! BUT WAS THIS A "NEW" company ???? think not!! think this one was around since 1996,so no poping up and going here !!!
beauford said:

and just the sort of thing that WK should be campaigning against. Fibs has set the credibility of the Kit Car scene back at least 10 years. How can we now believe anything it prints about any car in future? I will never buy Which Kit again, at least while Fibs is there

and DEN has helped it forward then ??? with all he's rants and thread "HIJAKING" ?????????
beaford said:

I have looked back over this story over the past few months and I have to say I don't find much humour in it. I am grateful to Den for producing the competition to WK that we needed and for the courage to bring this integrity issue to public notice, for had he not printed them I for one would not have known.

Know What exacty ?? that people have there chassis and parts that they have orderd ,as you can read on theads "monty python" has posted time after time that he has his chassis !! so not sure how dens "warnings" have helped any one ??????

i have also read alot of this with intrest!!
and thought i would put my twopenith in!!

Beauford did not say and to my knowledge no one else has said that all WK? adverts are fraudulant.

Again no one is saying that Den is always right either.

Den has pointed out various situations where people have contacted him with grievences that certain publications and manufacturers have done little or nothing about. He has warned others on this forum of practices used within the industry that are far from reputable.

I know not everyone agrees with some of the things he has posted but there is no doubt that many of the issues would have remained hidden without him bringing them to light. I do not agree with some of the things he posts.

The thing you mention about parts or chassis' not arriving (obviously aimed at the Python) actually happened. However I also know there is more to the story as I have heard the other side from Vince.

Knowledge is a wonderful thing. Wouldn't it be great if only those with the knowledge ever posted reply's to others questions? Or would it make this forum a very boring place?

It's funny how all the 'grievences' relate to businesses connected with WK? - in other words Den's main business rival. Are we ever going to see other companies 'exposed' in a similar way. Or does he only focus on his own commercial competition? Seems that way to me.

Just be certain of factual information, and do it carefully.... or feel the weight of Ted's jangling keys.....

Not quite how I put it and I do believe he would 'expose' others too, but it is no secret about how Den feels about Mr Filby.

Hopefully you didn't just interpret this into what I posted.

Board rules: no naming and shaming.

Not being a doctor I am not qualified to feel the weight of Ted's janglies.

Also Den is not just after Filby as they are in competition but for more sinister, darker reasons.

Don't care any more. Haven't bought either for ages. Have decided to invest in Big Jugs Monthly!

Guaranteed more airbags, headlights, and hooters than any car mag!!!!!!
