That does indeed seem very tasteful, good price too for what I would consider the ideal BEC engine.Im Big Dean and before i lost weight to be 17 stone, i was 19 stone 12, apart from needing Stronger springs i had no problems fitting in the fury, although now i have done away with the screen its much better.
I am in East Grinstead, if you ever want a ride in a car engined fury, or want to try it for size let me know.

Should have updated this, taken the plunge for a R1 Fury. I am in East Grinstead, if you ever want a ride in a car engined fury, or want to try it for size let me know.

Tried two on for size since the first one and they both fitted like a glove. The first one had the pedal box moved back by the owner as he was about 5ft5!
Thanks for the offer though

Folks Garage
Clutter and something under a tarp
Fisher Spider Lightweight which has never turned a wheel.
Fireblade Engine.
This is my mates and my folks would really like their garage back. He is having a massive clear out of all his crap and this thing is your typical never got around to it project. The bonnet had a nasty hole cut in it for the 2L pinto which the previous "never got around to it either" put in.
This will be cheap as they go. Send me a PM and I'll pass your details on.
Edit:- Yellow tape was to stop it getting scuffed.

Having read this thread I have a few questions, as I am wanting to build/buy a fury next year. I know what body and bonnet type I want (standard body and Le Mans bonnet, with windows and sotf top.
I will use the car for pleasure driving, touring (up to a week) and maybe a few track days and sprints. Having read the thread I'm not sure about the best way to power the car.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of bike enigines and car engines? Is it just the R1 engine that has issues with the sump ground clearance? i.e. if it had a blade engine would this solve the clearanec isues? How long would a bike engine last powernig a car? A friend of mine races a global GT light and has had a few R1 engined blow up on him, is this an issue in a road car?
What is the difference in user experience between a bike engined car and a normal car engined car?
Would havin a bike engined car be tiresome on longer drives and tours?
Any help answering these questions would be greatly appreciated.

If you really want to tour for several days at a time, in a car with doors and screen, choose the car engine route.
I've run an R1-engined Fury spyder this year and love it to bits; and about 150-170miles a day is the upper limit for me. Unbelievable fun, but total commitment is required, it's loud and uncompromising also - which is exactly why I love it... Basically, it's like climbing into the spin dryer for an hour or so at a time. 11mph per 1000rpm in top (6th) doesn't make for relaxation, or conversation with a hostage (passenger) esp when you rarely get that far up the box for grinning
..Seriously: an appropriate choice of zetex/duratec etc should last you forever, make lots of power reliably, and probably suit your stated purpose better. But if you're near Bath I'd happily give you a run out, and I'm sure others would extend similar offers.
