Yet another roadgoing Stratos rep for sale.
Corse 3.0 24v.
What is it now?, four in less than two weeks?
Hi Chris what about that Stratos Corse for sale? where is it?Corse 3.0 24v.

Did your Stratos finally went to Germany?
There are two rally prepared (but also road registered) Stratos replicas for sale at the moment on the Stratos Supersite Forum. There is a link earlier in this thread.
One is a Hawk for £22,000 and the other is a Corse with ITBs and Omex for £21,000.
You've just missed a left hand drive Hawk V6 for £20,000.
There is also the Hawk for sale here on PistonHeads classifieds, but priced a lot higher.
My car didn't go to Germany.
Wish I'd never looked into this thread!
I already have too many projects, and these are just wet your pants Luurrrrvly!
Whats the thoughts on engines for these? light 4 pot turbo with lots of chattering waste gate noises, or burly V6?
2.4 or 3.0?
Which would handle better?
What's the deal with fitting an engine from an unkown source? Would that get a Q plate?
Or, would it be better to buy an old complete, say, 164 for the logbook?
Ooops! Appologies to the Op for going O/T!
Here's some nice pictures of a real one, on this years Mallorca Classic, and (a couple from last year)for taking the thread off topic.

There are too many good reasons that make the Alfa V6 the obvious choice. If you go for a ride in one with an Alfa V6 engine, that'll pretty much make your mind up. Especially the 3.0 24v.
4 cylinder engines will make the handling better though, having said that, although the V6s are heavier, at least they're in the right place, so handling is still very good. Until the Alfa V6s became available, the Integrale/Thema 8 and 16v Turbos were a popular choice for extra power above what the 8v Beta engines could offer (without spending too much, that is).
It is a good idea to buy the engine with the engine donor car. The later 166/GTV motors are worth looking at too.
I see the green car sprouted group 4 arches later on?

How about this one?

A couple of issues though, Lee. One is that it's in Spain. Thesecond is that they want 180,000 euros for it. Yes, one hundred and eighty!
Course, you could buy mine. I'd look seriously at any offer above 100,000 euros!

I presume by "look seriously" you mean you would check the ink wasn't still wet on the bank notes? http://www.autoscout24.es/Details.aspx?id=18168888...

I mean, you could have one (possibly three) professionally built to spec for that much!
