Has anyone got a couple of 'A' series Metro wheels and tyres they don't want?

I'm not looking for alloys, just standard steel rims, but the tyres need to be in good nick. (and I don't mean stolen)

My landlord has an entire A series Metro he doesn't want!

Been stood ages but basically only needs one new driveshaft and new discs and it'd be a decent runabout or donor car. Engine ran fine, and it's the 1300 'sport' version too.

Free to good home, but would have to be collected. Contact me through my profile if interested.

Thanks for the offer. I spoke to my mate last night. He's decided to get rid of the car (any offers?).

2 new tyres, over £80 (something to do with metric sizes) needed for the MOT, for a car that's worth about £100 - £150.

I can see his point!

Ah the dreaded Dunlop Denovo's!
Great in theory, but not in practice!

I don't think the Denovo made it onto the Metro...
They use TD tyres I think, which are just a difficult size to get.

The Denovo only appeared on those 12" wheel Minis with bolt together steel rims didn't they?

The Metro had Dunlop TD 315s on it. They're a 'millimetric' tyre also fitted to some BMWs.
The Denovo was fitted to the 1275GT Mini amongst others and was fitted with pots of lubricant around the well of the wheel which allowed the (primitive) self supporting technology to operate as well as re-inflating to a certain extent. Denovo died before the Metro came out. Early Metros were 12"....late 80's ones became 315mm.......then they went back to 12" later.

Apart from the ones with 13" rims! The turbo and the later Gta/Sport variants spring to mind, possibly others though.
