Arcimoto SRK at the CES show. An EV tandem 2 seater, kind of a 3 wheel Twizy idea.

What would be the law in the UK for wearing a helmet or not in the SRK?

Well Winter is taking it's time so I thought I would update a few things. I think I am running out of things to do on my Eco Exo R.
Here is before

This is after HID Photon Projectors with Dip/High beam and new DOT approved LED turn signals.

I also installed a Metzler rear tire to match the fronts

Last summer I changed my dash to white with the numbers and marks glowing red

Well it was a beautiful day but we are getting 10 inches of snow tomorrow. I decided to take the trike out on the driveway and test everything before putting it away for the next three months. Everything works great so I should not have to do anything else to it for a long while. Here is a video and some pictures just before I put it away.

This is about all I can do to the trike. It was a fun build and I do enjoy driving it.
Are you familiar with the FRS 3 ?
It looked like a great two seater but not much info on it.

Hi Edward. I've heard that the FRS threewheeler is a very good hillclimb racer, but have no first hand experience. This is about all I can do to the trike. It was a fun build and I do enjoy driving it.

I found the FRS 3 pretty neat and would be something I would build if I was looking for a two seater. From what little I know it is a stunning performer with the front wheel drive. I just wish there was more information or reviews I could find that someone could e-mail me.

"Contrary to popular opinion, an arrangement of two wheels in the back and one in the front can be just as stable as the opposite layout."
I don't believe it's the consensus among those who understand vehicle dynamics; with any rational CG location, 2 wheels at the rear will always inherently oversteer because of lateral weight transfer which increases slip angles.
"A vehicle with two wheels in front becomes unstable during an accelerating turn ..."
Only with power oversteer, which is easily remedied by taking your foot off the gas.
"Two wheels up front can lead to a forward tipover under heavy braking ..."
Not with a CG that is sufficiently low and far enough forward.

I had a back seat ride in the FRS2 - same car, different nose! It was fantastic - every bit as good as the reports! The guys that make it are a friendly bunch too and to my eyes, the package looks good value considering the performance on offer

In an age where we've finally got small effective headlights, why plaster it with massive ones?
there are a few things that give a car a face, an identity. these are the grilles, and the lights. on electric cars you don't need a grille, and designing a car without intakes and grilles is actually very difficult to do and make look right.
The other thing is the lights. Most cars have big grilles and little squinty lights that make them look angry and menacing. If you don't have a grille, then the only feature on the front is the lights. And if you put tiny lights on then it appears blank, with no features. Especially now they've taken away the exposed engine.
I love the new EV3. Electric cars like this are perfect as most people will take them out on a jaunt at the weekend, so 150 miles should be adequate.

Every vehicle is different. On my Eco Exo R in the post above you can see the difference between the different size headlights.
I wanted to cut drag to the least amount and my new headlights helped do that.
The Morgan seemed to go in that direction but the two driving lights seem pretty draggy. Time will tell when they get a production model done on what changes will be made.
