Discussion
So to recap and ignoring Adrians "RAKES", "BUTS","OEs","NOWS","LOTS","ANDS","THATS",more "OEs",and other shouts relating to retro modded for whatever reason cars *not sure how the heater mounting fits in but HEY!,and bonnet strengthening bits, your cars is BOG standard so for the life of me I cannot understand how you cant fit a 175 profile tyre where a 195 one will fit!
Sorry to disturb your dreams but some discussions on here turn into a nightmare! I,m going to bed, maybe I won,t wake up. I hope Adrians shouting doesn,t disturb your dreams.
Good night Teddy, Good night Lottie.

Graham,
no powdercoat, sprayed a special primer to fil the small pits and then sand it after,
also to test my skills as a paint-man,hope the black will work as well as the primer,
powdercoat also has the problem off coatig to thick in some areas, not wanting to have trouble
putting the wishbones back,
what is the news on your TVR so far?

OK Rudi - you might be right with the prime and paint - as soon as mine was powder-coated everyone was giving me reasons why it's not the way to go. Still, it looks great and there's not that many places where I need to shave a bit off for clearance.
Progress slow at the moment due to a bad back (almost better) and the great weather forcing me to do 100's of miles in the S3

Hi Rudy
I am sure others would suggest others but here are i think the best
Crystal Palace classic weekend 2 Day event
Goodwood festival of speed 4 day event i think
Silverstone Classics 3 day event
Goodwood Revival My Favourite 3 day event
TVR pre 80s meet one day event
The actual dates for 2013 on these you would need to check Goodwood Revival and TVR 80S ypu may be able to do both if you come for a week but that depends on what dates they decide that year.
Hope that Helps
Got my new floor Mats from Adrian Today they are fantastic just like the original (thanks Adrian)

Why can you not use the original? Have you damaged it when removing?
The essex flywheel is heavy and can be significantly lightened without detrement. If yours just has some surface corrosion then this should clean up without much problem. I am no expert on these engines so not sure if the flywheel has a built in out of balance which needs to be retained after machining to lighten but regardless..Dynamic and static balancing of any fast road engine when you have it in bits is always a good idea..You can do most of the static balancing yourself with kitchen scales..
Parts can be obtained via Burtons, London or
Car Clinic in Darwen, lancs.
