Nope, its mads's rear Arb setup :-)

Made with a 12mm BMW E61 ARB which is shortened about 50mm (cut in the middle and welded a small tube around, mounted to 2 plates welded to the chassis. The links is made from a E46 front droplink, modifyed with M10 tread to shorten them and making them adjustable to ensure no torsion at netraul level. The piece of iron on the lower A arm is designed so I can moiunt the droplink from both the inside and outside in the ARB to allow for a wide range of adjustments. On the picture in the 2'nd most soft setting, that seems to work good on the road.

I think it can be made with the original E61 droplinks as well

Well, the starter is finally in.

I won't get into how much of a slowdown this caused, or why, but to say, that this is yet one more part that had to be modified to fit. The starter's flange required notching for clearance, else I'd have had to chop a hole in the oil pan.

Thank you Andrew.

I have to admit, that at this point, I am not looking forward to the journey as much as the finish line.

First time back at ride height, in a decade or more.
Rear dampers installed, and back on the ground.

She's a bit wide, in the hips, but she's sexy.

from the rear it looks great, put some wide fenders on and its gonna look even better.
the hole in the bonnet and those parts sticking out is euh...not so, was there no other solution with some other type inlet or so?
or are you going to make also a sort of bulge on the hood.

Rene,

An intake manifold that could fit under an unmodified bonnet, would have cost a lot of power. From memory, as much as 40-50 hp off peak.

There is a forward facing intake elbow, and if I were to use it, I could raise only the center section of the bonnet, but R would kick me out of the club.

Finished designing the fuel delivery system. The only thing worth debating, is whether it would be preferable to return the fuel from the regulator to the tank. Each way has benefits as well as drawbacks. I prefer to err on the side of more fuel in the swirl pot, even if it raises the temperature.

ow, that would be a great loss of power, not worth it than biggrin
the forward facing elbow and centre bonnet bulge would look nice, but if thats not a possibility in your case, then you have to life with it and so do we, the lookers/admirers of your car.;-)

Slow - How many pumps are you using? You feeding the Swirl pot from two pickups in the fuel tank (or one) then out through another to the engine?

Jon,

One -10AN in-tank pick-up to an external, low pressure, 255 lph pump. This will supply the swirl pot, which will feed the high pressure pump (a 1000hp Paxton unit).

B.

Well i can know see your building a chicken shed wink but whats going to be the solution with the bonnet hole
The rear will be rather beefy when done so something rather radical up front wont look out of place

Gotcha. I am similar but two pumps pulling from each side of the tank before the swirl pot then a big race Holley pump after it.

Those tyres are Massive. Not much sliding action there then!

Replacing the sideways intake elbow I have, with a forward facing unit won't be difficult,

but form follows function, and in this case, that will have to be in chronological terms.

I plan to leave the rear completely open, except for mounting woven 1/2" x 1/2" Alu mesh, inside them.
