That's part of the genius of Bob Butler, exhaust fabricator extraordinaire. The first 18"-20" of the 4" diameter section is a Dynomax "bullet" type cherry bomb-style muffler. It is still 3" in, 3" out, so it will doubtlessly not be particularly quiet, but I was not eager to choke the flow, using smaller than recommended diameter pipe.

Bob was suggested by David Z, Grantura MkI, on here. Yet another way, in which David's helped to move this project forward.

The closest (proper) track, around me, is Willow Springs. It's old, fast, and not in a population center. I hope the car will be quiet enough, for them.

Best regards,
Bernard.
I've driven around Willow Springs in this -

Very good on fuel, brakes, tyres and never gets black flagged.

Very interested in that in-line silencer might povide a solution to a long time problem?

I love such exhaust system, makes it more 'brutal' by looks.

Yeah, one tiny increment at a time. Also have an intake trumpet being readied, at my local machine shop, in order to build an air box.

Best Regards,
Bernard.

None. A friend picked up an unfinished Europa vintage race project car, that I've been helping to complete, and I recently bought a little motorcycle, to invest too much time in.

Best regards,
Bernard

Finished the last flare fittings, and zip-tied the hard lines to the chassis. First time, in months, that it's had all four wheels on terra firma.

Best,
B.

Ha!

Hope it will, when it's all said and done. The only thing sticking into what will otherwise be a smooth underbody, is the bellhousing. Some day, when I'm flush with cash, there will be a multi-plate clutch, allowing for a tiny flywheel and bellhousing.

I was thinking of air from the central tunnel exiting via the back of these:
