WOW! What an amazing find! Why is your Morris not covering that perfect floor? I can detect the lack of musty odor, all the way from down here. Good lighting, too. Nice.

You're right. I'm dry, no longer wet behind the ears. Summer here is not as nice as it is where you are, but I'll take it. Mornings are foggy and cloudy, until the marine layer cooks off. The local cars and coffee event is a 15-20 minute walk (Marina del Rey).

Please give my regards to all.

B.

Right, forgot those two have similar taste in bitters. 75% of the space will likely be allocated to the micro-brew.

Are you intending to out-Royale Ettore Bugatti?

In the words of that Hellenic genius: "sweet, delicious beer?" Sorry I'll miss it.

May have to try to sneak by Stone's facility (to replicate your trip) and visit your southern RO counterpart.

:~)

Made a stainless steel bracket, and mounted brake and clutch reservoirs.

That's all, for this weekend.

Thanks Robert,

I think that will be the only way to get it done. I'm not too far from having all of the custom bits done, before moving to plumbing and wiring.

I know that my progress would be best described as glacial, but for me, getting this stupid tin can to (sort of) fit is a leap forward, and makes me pretty damn happy.

Bernard you haven't polished the Alernator yet your Dry sump will outshine it hehe
Looking forward to your next update
A
True, but I've spent some time polishing the alternator bracket, does that count?

I've taken delivery of all of the parts I can think of, to plumb my brake system, with the exception of a few grommets. I plan to run the NiCopp lines through the footwell inside some appropriately sized hose. The soft hoses, supplying fluid from the remote reservoirs to the master cylinders (shown), will probably be run through grommets.

B.

Well, these came, along with a 1988 Ford factory workshop manual, Volume D, and my bookkeeper's promise of some $ back, on my tax return. All in all, it's like another birthday.

biggrin Very businesslike, don't you think? No fancy colours, funny stickers, bells, or whistles, just metal and black. One knob for jounce, one for rebound.

P.S. Thanks to Grantura MKI, for suggesting I contact Aldan Shock Absorbers. Excellent service received from Ferrel.

Looking on their site I do not see any reference to a TVR?
Just for intrest and restoration of my Vixen.

Hans
Hans,

With the car at correct ride height, measure the eye to eye length of the shock. You then go to Aldan's site, and look at which ride height range matches.

As I understand it, you are looking for more travel in compression, than in extension, for spirited use.

Look at the compressed eye to eye dimension, given on the site, and ensure that your suspension allows for that number (i asked for large rebound rubbers to be installed in mine, as it was close to an interference condition).

Did I understand/answer your question correctly?

Well, the starter is finally in.

I won't get into how much of a slowdown this caused, or why, but to say, that this is yet one more part that had to be modified to fit. The starter's flange required notching for clearance, else I'd have had to chop a hole in the oil pan.

First time back at ride height, in a decade or more.
Rear dampers installed, and back on the ground.

She's a bit wide, in the hips, but she's sexy.
