A new carpet set and seats have been re-covered though so that should do it, and it was mot'd when taken off road so some peace of mind there anyway.

wow. Looks like a complete restoration job starting with the body off. Was it stood outside or in the shed I wonder?

Was quite interested till she mentioned it needs a water pump. Donna obviously likes a large "male hen".

Is she REALLY likely to get anywhere near £3k for this? And does the chicken come as a part of the deal? - Could be the deciding factor!!

That is my late Dad's old car.

He bought it new from the factory in component form and finished the build himself.

Here's what it used to look like...

And if I win it will return to its former glory, but at the rate the biddings going its going to sell for far more than its worth.
The history of it is great though and would make the perfect restore for me, its a shame it had to live in a garden for so long and when the owner left the property the vandels attacked it and some other vehicles and broke the dash, side windows etc.
Fingers crossed

A friend has viewed this car..

Completely rotten chassis, most of the suspension corroded to hell.Body looks better than it is in the photos!! inside can be best described as a rats nest.

The current owners have lifted the car onto a trailer via chains through the door apertures and knackered 2 of the hardest parts to replace on the car...IE The doorframes

This car will supply an ID for a full re -(newal) rather than a restoration.

At those prices so early on I can only assume that mates of the vendor are bidding it up..

It'll do what the market dictates..But I won't be part of that market!!

Hmm, when I read this I had to go and check the price straight away. I have to say £2650 would be a bargain for a Tuscan. I suppose it will continue to climb though. I appreciate that it is a basket case but when you think about it, after a certain amount of disrepair, the final amount one spends to repair it won't really get a huge amount bigger.

It has been said many times on this forum already, and by people far more experienced than me, but to do one of these cars properly is going to cost at least £25k for a complete rebuild. At 40 years old with a knackered chassis, and what looks like a v poor engine it's not hard to see why. Add in new suspension at each corner, dismantle, inspect and repair the whole drive train and then completely retrim......
