questions about TVR 3000M with 1978 essex V6

Is there a difference in value between the early and the later 3000M models? I thought that the earlier models were the one with the highest value, but I'm not sure as the essex V6 is probably more desirable engine?
Earlier M Series cars (wing and bonnet vents, Cortina rear lights, chrome bumpers...) do seem to ask slightly higher prices. I've always attributed this to being that bit closer in appearance and age to the Vixens, which sell for much higher prices than M Series cars. Not sure that the engines affect values that much really.BTW, both the M's in the above photos look superb and I personally think that what you lose in originality, you gain in individuality.
Thank you all for the replies to my questions.
It is the grey wide body TVR 3000M. This weekend I was able to drive this car and this made me even more enthusiastic. The car's handling & feeling was very goodhttp://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/6.gif. The car is really build to a high standard.
The car is fitted with some extra cooling fan's which was necessary as the outside temperature was about 35 degrees Celsius this weekend! This week I'll decide if I'm going to buy this car. The engine of car did not hit off immediately when turning the key. Does anyone know how this can be explained? If I'm going to buy its I would like to fit some stainless steel classic Bullet mirrors and maybe some classic leather bucketseats. Does anyone know where to buy these? Or has anyone fitted these?
Thanks!

Hi guy's,
My first attempt to upload an picture of my TVR 3000M.
If this works, I'll post some other pictures later.
The car is in excellent condition. It has had a body-off restoration in 2008.
I'l change some minor thinks to make it even better... (Anyone experience with an electronic ignition for the Ford Essex v6?)

Yes Sir, a looker !!
Do believe the engine is 'uprated' ?
I've got an Aldon ignitor on mine, works very well, and no need for addi trigger units, wires and what have you
Does require a bit of alteration to the base plate of the dizzy thou (re vacuum advance)
pm me if so required (so a dutchman can learn something from a belgian ! lol)

Looking Great
yes i have the lumination ignition convershion it was fitted when i bought it and it works fantastic Heads off twice once to fit Fast Road Cam and recently to fit new head gasket.
Even have a spare new one as there was a spare one in the box of bits i bought later from the previous owner when i bought all his spare bits wheels etc which he kindly offered to me as i had bought her from the person he sold it to 18 months earlier in Spain.
Been on 8000 miles and never had to reset timing even after removing head,
Starts first time both hot and cold so rather pleased.
It is more expensive than the others on the market and does require a controle unit on the bulk head and wires to the distributer etc but can really recomend it.
