It is a La Dawri on Austin Healey 100/6 basis.
So which would have the greater value today, that very nice looking La Dawri or the original donor 100/6 please note this is a hypothetical, light hearted question I'm not trying to start another major "discussion" on values, it's worth what someone will pay etc. etc.

K.W.
Thanks for the info K.W., quite a collection you have there, huge respect from me for keeping them all that time, under cover and from being stripped for parts over the years, amazing, well done that man !K.W.
Lets hope that one day they can be brought back to life before its too late?
I thought I had seen a lot of cars and could identify many fibreglass cars and kits, but this make, La Dawri, had escaped me completely. Now i have googled it and found this website, i fear i wont be getting much work done today while i pour over it
http://www.forgottenfiberglass.com/?p=22642
I went to view it at the weekend. I cant beleive its already at 6800 with 2 days to go when the one that was complete was on ebay a few weeks ago and didnt meet the reserve and got as high as 12600.
I also recently missed out on the MK1 down in Salisbury for 15K
Next year I intend to hunt down a pre 1960 MK1

Peter Filby's book "The Early Years" shows on page 143 an autocrossing Grantura Mk3 (338 YTD?) driven bei John Akers, "Driver and car went to become extremely successful at the sport".
I know this an ancient post but I was just browsing and found a reference to 338 YTD.(Should be 339 YTD) I used to mechanic for John Akers in another life and would love to know if his TVR and his Porsche 911S are still owned by someone. He actually had two TVR autocross cars but one caught fire at a meeting and was a total loss. Trouble is due to age etc I cannot remember it's reg number.
Will dig out the Porsche reg but I think I have to post that elsewhere.
Thanks
Clive

That is quite a load of hardware!!! Many thanks for sharing.
Best,

This was the other and I think earlier(I'm sure someone will know!) Taken on Southport beach. Probably gone forever. I think the one with the trophies was a special lightweight body specially made for John Akers which was to replace the earlier one. Not 100% sure as it was a long time ago and I am now 75. The brain fades!!!Best,
D.

first one looks like a 1800S (or mk4 granture?)
and the last 2 pictures more grantura mk3 (or 2 something perhaps)
but indeed it looks like itw as used also in rally with those wheelarces cut out :-)
