Second coat of POR15 Hardnose on the underside of the chassis. More next weekend on the other side when this coat has hardened (and the 2nd tin arrives). It looks a lot better for a second coat. Only trouble with it as a paint (apart from it's tenacity on contact with skin) is that it's very runny so if you're not careful you get dried dimples of paint. But it seems to cover well and be pretty tough. Time will tell I guess. One large tin covered the whole chassis with a first coat plus a second coat on one side.

for fuel and temp you need to replace the voltage stabiliser behind dash. If OE make sure it is fitted vertical and has a good earth

Looking great

I've switched the ratchet to clockwise, what a great feeling. Roll cage, pedalbox, steering wheel and a lot of small things aroung the engine is now mounted. Tomorrow will be for the electrics and dash.

Have cleaned the interior of the 3000S.............given the fact that I hate cleaning interiors, well pleased with myself.... will give you a pic shortly !

Car needs a geo, pronto, but given a lot of teeth-sucking (..) this will happen (hopefully) this week (mechanic out/sick/dead, was given all sorts of s**t)

Made the body (and garage) presentable for the painter to get this week a good (low) price for his work.
Fingers crossed his offer fits in my budget.

If only.......

Spent all day grinding out cracks and re tissuing, then rubbing down, then finding I had rubbed down too far and re-re tissueing. Rinse and repeat.

Managed to get the front of the bonnet looking quite good.

Smug but itchy now smile

Rumour has it, you've been using that hammer. How's your own project coming along?

Best,

Rumour what rumour!!!! No big hammer so far but a bit of welding and grinding. But fibreglass work I've nearly had enough of that !!!!! I hope to get some trimming progress this week . Richard

Fitted a pair of shiny new radiator caps as one was leaking, as you can see a huge improvement!

Nice T

I've been trying to fit my new wheels to my Vixen. Not quite happy about the fit so will need to make up some spacers. Hopefully this will solve the looks issues smile
