What have you done in your Garage this evening??
Discussion
As my car came with a spare set of rear lights I thought I would spend a couple of evenings refurbishing them. The red and amber lenses were in really good condition just needing a good clean up in soapy water. The light bases themselves required a good rubbing down with wire wool/scotchbrite and then a degrease and a good old wash, again in soapy water, before spraying several coats of hard wearing silver paint on them.
All of the original screws/fixings were replaced with new remanufactured ones and again both new seals were fitted to each light as well.
I am very pleased with the result and now have a very nice replacement set if ever I were to need them which hopefully I never will.
I have been told that one of the rear lights is harder to find than the other so which is the rarer of the two the O/S or the N/S?
Thanks
Steve
