Nice pics Andrew, but what is it?

I have spent hours on my bonnet and doors on the last few months

For some people the question could be; " is this the original quality" laughlaugh

It takes me the same amount of time with (nearly) the same result.

Very very nice.

NO
For Starters that White Jell Coat would not have been original that would have been to costly in production

found some more time to fit some vents but not a nice job as the body was so thick in places so lots of cutting back of fibreglass to try to get a decent fit but one now

As my car came with a spare set of rear lights I thought I would spend a couple of evenings refurbishing them. The red and amber lenses were in really good condition just needing a good clean up in soapy water. The light bases themselves required a good rubbing down with wire wool/scotchbrite and then a degrease and a good old wash, again in soapy water, before spraying several coats of hard wearing silver paint on them.
All of the original screws/fixings were replaced with new remanufactured ones and again both new seals were fitted to each light as well.

I am very pleased with the result and now have a very nice replacement set if ever I were to need them which hopefully I never will.

I have been told that one of the rear lights is harder to find than the other so which is the rarer of the two the O/S or the N/S?

Thanks
Steve

Hi Richard,

Great work.
If you do not mind, would you inform us on your body work in the thread "Body work on pre-80 TVRs"
So the next younger generation can find this info.

Thanx and keep on the quality.

Hans
