For engine clerance, is the rule of thumb... keep a finger tip clerance, and you'll be ok.

I'm down to 1/4 " and don't have any problems

I went for 10mm clearance which was fine until a lost a cylinder due to a plug failure. The additional movement from running on 3 cylinders caused the air filter to touch the body and break the fixings. Nothing too expensive but best have a bit extra to play with in my experience.

A little to much, enough upsweep?
Waiting for the body to find the right line.
Fits nice in between the frame.

Allmost finished with the Brembo 4 pot (porsche 986) modification to the front uprights, and almost looking "factory made" :-)

Jep, and now fittet to the car. 2 minor issues to be solved. The new track ends don't tilt enough, but the press will sort that :-) and the steering travel will make the calipers hit the lower wishbones, so travel stop's need to me made (nylon washers inside the steering rack)

16" rim's clear the caliper by 3mm (from the balancing) so that is perfect.

And tomorrow is time for unpacking the new engine...... it's christmas again

santa came late this year, and for "She Who Must Be Obeyed" ....it's been there all the time, didn't you notice ? :-)

120kg, 240hp, 10£/kg 5£/hp, getting the aditional 60 hp out will be fearsome in money

Cabin plates in progress, and grandfathers tools come in handy, glueing a steel plate with bolts to the gearbox cover.

Next question, shall I stay at 4 small gauges, or get another one and make it 5 (have oil temp, water temp, A/F ratio and tank level) perhaps voltage or a watch

Visually and aesthetically, I prefer the look of five.

Best regards,
Bernard.

P.S. Are your vents going to blow directly at your roll bar?

Hi Bernard

My cage is routed thru the dashboard, so oly problem is that I never finished the new heater box (changing from rhd to lhd)

And I will buy a 5'th gauge to make the design symetrical. A watch could do, but the dont come with lid arm's like the other gauges, so perhaps it'll be a voltmeter instead (even it's a bit useless with a modern generator.

Making carpets is equal boring as doing fiberglas work, but at least you don't get itchy doing it...

Just been out for first drive after 3 weeks of winter tinkling. Full clean up and rust proofing underneath. Radiator out and re-welded, fitter thermostat and spend ages bleeding the system out. Full clean and wipe down. Checked the weather and all looking ok - until it started raining half way through the drive (really hate it when that happens!). Nice to hear that rumble again.
