build from a something ford, that was a porsche design, optimized by cosworth, made for a Mazda then back to cosworth made into a v12 for aston and then on the desk of a jaguar engineer that converted it to suit a S type V6 with a bmw manual 5 speed.... perfect for a RWD sportscar if reverce engineerd into a sport enging. So away with the vvt, adjustable intage, dual mass flywheel, cat's etc. And here we have an easyæ tunable 240 lbs engine, that in original trim deliver 240 hp, in my trim will be 280-300 hp, and in the hands of mountune/palmer sport goes toward 380hp in NA trim.
And 100 lbs lighter that the essex, 100hp extra in a smaller package.... but still a sort of a ford engine.

That's must be why at first glance I thought it was a Cayenne V8 front endBut need to change 4 shims and get the cam covers from the painter, then is the engine ready.

From the angle of the picture it looked like a v4 but I could not imagine it cold not be the cosworth 'Ford' v6. Looks like that is what it is.build from a something ford, that was a porsche design, optimized by cosworth, made for a Mazda then back to cosworth made into a v12 for aston and then on the desk of a jaguar engineer that converted it to suit a S type V6 with a bmw manual 5 speed.... perfect for a RWD sportscar if reverce engineerd into a sport enging. Nice engine. Looks good.
Not the "cosworth" V6 even that it's partly engineered by cosworth. It's a duratec 3.0 from a jaguar S type. But only casing, crank and rods left from the jag engine.
And I have designed a slimline fuelpump unit, from the original fuel level sensor. So now is my dual pump / swirl pot setup finished. Hopefully no more lefthand corner power cut's
And the "trunk" look like new

Well, body came off chassis again, removed all wiring, electrics and dash board. My son Christopher then set about cleaning off all underneath paint and sone chip, repaired the many holes that have been drilled in over the years then re painted it.
Prepped and sprayed the engine bay, body now refitted to chassis, set and fixed.
Temp fitted all new petrol tank straps, made a door for the petrol pump so i can access from underneath and a small removable panel to access the drain plug.
All now ready to be glassed into place them final fitted with correct length stainless fixings.
New stainless steel tank ready to go in when glassing is finished.
I've kind of gone back to go forward, but it was needed.
