made a modest start to the many boxes and thought that one of the first things they will need is the rear hinges and as I am up there again next week thought that's where I would start.

A few pictures of the corners ready to go back together not my work but a BIG THANK YOU to Adrian for his support at the end of the phone and doing the parts that I cant handle which is quite large at this point.
I can achieve good perfection needs outside help





Hope to get some more parts done myself this week as been rather distracted with a visitor in the garage this week that needed some love and attention.
Door frames fuel tank and door locks and handles are really the biggest things left at my end to deal with my boxes of finished parts or new parts are getting larger and the others getting smaller a good thing really as the LBL Rally will take get me out of the Garage for some welcome R and R.

Well back on track Chassis nearly ready for final shot blast and zink and powder coating



And body getting nearer completion nice to see some progress

Yes Chris a far bit as usual in all the obvious places and the accident damage as well but should be better than new as some of the traditional week points are being beefed up

Finished off the Heater box last night the rad was in very good shape I think it had been renewed recently as getting the box apart was very easy as they had only screwed it back together had it pressure tested and all ok.

Thought I had better update this as things are full steam ahead now there is not as much other work on Dave has done a fantastic job on the accident repair and preparation so all primed and ready for painting.
I dropped in my first lot of refurbished and new parts from my end on Friday.
Adrian dropped the first lot of new and re furbished parts down Monday and spent the day sorting the wiring he is a star and has done all the running gear five speed gear box conversion steering rack sun roof and door hinges window winders and lots more.
The Chassis should be there today ready for them to build up a rolling Chassis so should get some more pictures soon as the powder coaters rang me yesterday Phil did a great job of rebuilding the chassis and renewed about a third of the steel and is being cold zink plated and powder coated Black sorry very traditional no loud colours.
Engine and LSD is just down the road ready to pick up so things can all come together really fast as its now really a rebuild as all now ready.
Will be nice to see things all start to come together over the next couple of months unless other work takes priority.
I have a couple more days on the parts here and that's me until it comes back to me for a few months shake down and will renew the carpets here and fit the sound insulation and sound system here as unlike me he wants a fancy modern sound system hence why we have gone for a standard exhaust so he can enjoy the Archers

Dave and Phil have been busy the last few days moving along at a good pace now another day or so at my end and they will have all the parts from my end so hope to pop up there next week and deliver them and see the progress so another update next week.
They are getting her to a rolling chassis before the final paint starts.

LSD went in today the boys said it was like Christmas as it was all shrink wrapped and shinny
I picked up the Tank and fitted new hoses and sender
So only a few more bits to do at my end and I will get up there next week and deliver the final bits as I have the hand break they will be needing that before the shell goes on.

Looking at your last picture of the diff hanger it looks as if you have the front mounting bracket upside down. There should be (or least there is on my 3000m) two fittings that the hanbrake cable sleave fits into.
Appologies if I am either wrong or you have rectified it but better to know now than later.

Thanks Chris Dave is following all the photos taken when she came apart so I will not interfere its a late car 1980 so there may be differences but I will let him know just in case.

Finished off the heater fan tonight the Brackets where so rusted Rudy made an alloy set at the weekend and we will put a gasket between the bracket and the chassis.

Just a few more bits to do and arrive and hopefully get up to Southend on Friday to deliver the final load of parts

Final day on the parts and trim today so all ready to take up to workshop on Friday fished polishing the bumpers and cleaning up the trim and gluing back the bits that needed it.
I have found that to get into the grain on the trim Fast cut plus is great at removing the built up grime.
The interior is being kept original as it is in great condition over all and nice to have something that reminds you its a 35 year old car.

Following a very early start delivered the final set of parts and the winter wheels up to southend and here are a few pictures of progress so far should have a rolling chassis next week.
Rather exciting to see it all coming together.

(he has a lot going on and it is a long long time ago when they were fitted).
