Looks FAR better than the last time I saw it Andrew.......are those wheels staying on the car?
Hi Peter Happy new Year
Yes those will be the winter wheels the centre caps still have to go on but Phil would prefer to put on later in case they get knocked
They are Reproduction Wolf Race Powder coated silver which for the winter will be much more practical as she will be an every day user.
Then doing a polished set of T Slots for the summer which will also be tyred up so its easy to change over but i know that he will not want to be polishing wheels etc every other week like i would so had to think practical

Hi Andrew, I've examined the latest pictures very carefully and I must say l am disgusted! There is dust on the tyres! I suggest you get out there at once with the tyre black.

Looking better than new. Lovely!

Phil
Thanks Phil
Rather pleased so far its been hard not doing some of the things that I might have done if it was for myself I have been given a blank sheet and been told to surprise him and he wants some bling but I also know that not everyone wants to be polishing things every time it goes out so trying to create a look that with give him a user friendly every day car but a little special although its a TVR so that's special enough in itself be interesting to see what gets used most TVR or Porsche my money is on the TVR wink

Best Andy,

My stomag is turning around, seeing this fresh painted, beautiful TVR.
Especially knowing mine will be in the same state of art (I hope) in the near future.
Only to chose a color will be the first issue.(and some peeping and elbow grease)

Good luck with the coming finishing.

Hans
Thanks Hans
I wish my Dutch was as good as your English so i could give you as many giggles keep on peeping away just dont get arrested wink

Andrew, it's gorgeous! I'm confused, though. Is it a flip-flop paint, or am I not seeing it right? On the driver's side, the lettering looks as though it's dark on a light background, whereas it looks to be reversed on the passenger's side.

Best,
B.
Its the light in the spray booth thats confusing you both colours are normal metalic the strip is a colour we created they have called it Andygrey the black is a TVR Black annd the intention was to create a shadow with the stipe rather than it being a bold colour.
Our first idea was to do the stripe in Tan to match the interior however i realised that then the car would have been black and Tan and with the car going to southern Ireland it may not have been the wisest choice as history in Ireland of the Black and Tans (the British Police sent to quell the Irish Rebels wink ) in the the early part of the last Centuary was not exactly a part of history thats cherished over there.
Hence we came up with this idea over a few Irish coffes or should i say a lot of them hehe
The two colours also have slightly different size metalic flecks in as well very suttle but i think it has created what we intended will know for sure when all together and in daylight.

I am looking for some advice regards the seats and colour the Vinyl is not an issue we can get that close enough on colour to the rest of the trim however struggling to get leather that is an exact match and thinking on doing the seats faces and headrests etc ie that areas that would have been fabric in the same colour as the fabric or at least when the fabric was new and the piping in the vinyl colour so basically as the car was originally trimmed only replacing fabric with leather has anyone ever see this done and anyone with pictures please would be great.

Hi B.

And where can I buy the embossed vinyl for the doors. I am looking for another color than black?
Hans
I presume your talking about the basket weave material OE if so I don't think its done in other colours there are basket weave patterns that are close I have seen in other colours if you google Basket weave trimming material Hans that should help you rather than embossed Vinyl ?

Its seat week on all fronts the trimmer has got this far on the Taimar seats and sent me a sneak preview so far rather happy with the two tone the leather is close to the colour that the original fabric was before it got grubby.
The Tuscan seats are out and will be heading to Romania later in the week (yes we now have a Tuscan V6 and a Grantura in Romania) buy them or loose them i say is the moral to all the picture collectors out there hehe
Plus the extra clips that I am missing for the seats I am building for the Tuscan should be here tomorrow so I can do the second one and then off to the trimmers as well

Had an update from the boys today and they have been busy looks rather dusty and sad but its all coming together nice.
Window fitter is coming later in the week and they are taking her to a rolling road to get the enginge set up right ready for the MOT before the bonnet goes on for final fitting.
VOSA Test booked for the 9th of April so they have a target to work towards

That's looking great Andrew. Does it go straight over to Ireland or will it do a tour of events before heading west?

GB
Thank you Hans
Graham the plan is that once back with me the seats and carpets are to come out and the Sound system to be fitted and then the new carpets and a few other bits to be sorted and get it run in and finally tuned and the wheels switched to the T Slots which he has decided he would prefer as those wheels where a spare set I had lying around no loss there and I am sure they will find a good home.
So a fair bit of work really before hand over and he wants me to enjoy it for a while however with all that's going on work wise and other projects I am not sure.
