Hi Pete, can I ask a favour and get a few details about that tank, could be ideal option for my project
I have a alloy tank for a tas n/s off my race car.

p
Just been advised mine maybe alloy, if so I'll have it welded / repaired. If they are steel then I'll go down the jaz route. Found the uk dealer, rally design. They're pretty good value and perfect size to slot in the boot of the tasmin

Ps the vixen looks the nuts :-)

Hi Pete,

Nice color.
What is it?
Mine is original yellow ( mustard yellow) but does not look as nice as yours.

I stille have not decided yet but need to make up my mind soon.

Is there "metallic flakes" in it?
And clear top layer (or even layers) on?
Hope you have some pics in daylight soon. Or even in the sun???

It's a brave choice of a color that gives the Vixen something extra. Like a boy's toy.

Not yet no. Still got to figure out which injector is which and probably going to mod the loom to run injector and coil power through a relay. Also want to put a connector on injector loom so i can pull motor without having to take plenum off. Do you have the original spec on the motor. ?

Hi Pete,
I love those pedals, had seen them before and have counted my money.
But first things first.

I noticed the rough details around the bottom of the footwells. Mine were the same and I have altered them, so now smooth.
Must say have chanced more rough details, but without taken the heart out the Vixen.

Read the conversation off the blamed off heater. My question is what have you in mind for the heating/air.
I am thinking of placing the ventilator in front of the engine departement.
So a clean bulkhead.

Enough to do.

Heated screen will do the job for me.

Peter,
You wish to consider an external Vynal strip at the screen top to prevent chips.

Heated screens crack easily (i did 3 in 2 years). Vynal cured it, or seemed to?

And ventilation?
Just curious.

These small heaters fit under dash if you want to clear you're engine bay. I'm using one and have used them in the past ! I find them very effective. Richard

This is fundamentally a race car so plastic? side and rear. And the rear lights have been converted so the bulbs can be changed from the outside not inside. Lee @ http://mcnairmotorsport.co.uk/ likes to convert things for racing.

Heated screens crack easily, cracks are often started by chips, chips on my racer have always been towards the top of the screen, the Vynal "wrap" at the top dampens the impact if the stone causing the chip. I also keep three spares...

For a race car heated screen is the ultimate solution IMHO
