I'd have thought it was a twin, in fact its the same as the first picture on this thread.

I'll pick up a breather cap from Burton and just put everything to a beer can for now.

Thanks for the advice!

???? twin sidedraught or twin-choke downdraught?

the first pic does not show a carb it shows this unnecessary alloy ellbow.

lets start from beginning:

if you run an electric fuel pump, the blanking cap for the engine needs to be this type:

and under no circumstances this one:

than you remove this alloy ellbow and back in with the original black tin-can which you now route, without pcv valve to your catchtank.

the additional rocker-cover breather could be permanently closed and such a oilfiller cap used (sometimes they come in yellow color):

this cap you can vent towards the catchtank

even i guess that with the original block breather and the correct blanking cap you could use the original oilfillercap, which vents itselves to athomsphere, without any oil comming out anymore.

another mod would be: you weld a small deflector plate underneath the oilfiller neck inside the rocker-cover.

if you are running a twin-choke carb than you can use the original ford setup, means original block breather (tin-can) but WITH PCV valve connected to inletmanifold and the original black filler cap, which does not need to be connected to a catchtank anymore.

Sorry for butting into the thread, but can you do this kind of thing for a TR6 engine?

Steve, I set up a pcv valve and catch-can arrangement on my 2500M.

Seems to working just fine.

Would you like some photos?
