Sure any machinist would be able to mill/lathe one up.

We've not got any caps on ours, just stuck the badge straight over the hole on the wheel.

Definitely not an optical lumenition system, biggrin

Guessing it a magnet one?

Just realised I didn't think before that last post.

I was thinking it had a magnetic dizzy pickup but a lumenition box, based on the
the sender unit in the distributer as its not the correct match to the Elumination
. My brain wasn't engaged properly.

Wouldn't have thought you could mix and match the dizzy units. And if you can you'd think it would be fine whatever dizzy unit as it's just sending a signal based on picking up the magnetic field.
Unless the magnets have just become duff/worn out.

Should just slap a megajolt system on it, biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I built another garage! Well, more of a coffin actually.
I'm moving overseas for a couple of years and a friend has kindly offered to store my Vixen for me while I'm gone.
The deal was that I had to box it in to one corner of his double garage so that is what I have done today. It is now encased in timber with all of the junk off my mates floor now piled on the "roof" of the coffin.

Not sure whether this counts as in or out of the garage - nothing to do on the Taimar so built this instead, it's a 1/32 Ocar slot car body with parts sourced from various other donors, not a great quality moulding and needed a lot of filler but looks pretty much like the real thing

Bit late (15/12/13) but a couple of pics from viewing the speed 12.

I have a couple more pics but tbh you can't really see anything of the engine and the front tyres are huge widthways!

Much thanks to Graham and his partner for letting us view the speed 12 and the cake and coffee :-)

Just a little nice item.

In our new years party with friends, all members of the TRippers, a friend had 2 TVR Mk I, II, IIa, III Owners manuals for me and another TVR owner.
The books came with more automobilia from a family member who had passed away.
The manual had a date, 8/12/67, written on it.
We were very pleased with it.
Is there a manual for the Vixen?

TRippers are 7 couples that drive their Triumph TR 3, 4A, 250 and 6 through Europe. We started the group in 2001.

Broke down during my short drive after washing the car frown

No spark so the lumenition spark'o'matic might have been turned on for too long without starting the engine. They can't handle more than 15min with ignition on without starting the engine apperently (?).

Been driving a classic for 4 hours, not the TVR thou. But putting the final touch on the "TR6 eaton injection", and my god it drives awfull :-) engine is superb, but that thing in front of you feels more like a rudder that a steering wheel. But on the other hand... it keeps the speeding tickets away :-)

Spent yesterday discussing the exhaust system on the M with JP Exhausts. After 8 days with discussion along the line of yes, should be no problem, may have to loose the oil filter, but ok we can get good manifolds in...sorry, we cant do it, it's impossible to get an exhaust system fitted to the car, can you come and collect it.

Not vey happy as the car's chassis was substantially and adequately modified to allow a good system to be installed. Hey Ho, onwards and sideways. laugh

Commence work on plan B... scratchchin

Been playing old cars most of the day. The TR6 - "Eaton Injection" I've been dooing the ECU and electrics one, went to the owner, We tried a 170mm pully, weth 8 psi boost, that was just too much for the old lady, went back to a 155mm pully and settled for 6 psi.

Moved a Jag. on the way, and got the M with me home.

So now it's on to "what have you done in your garage this evening" for many evenings ahead

The color is everything between shiny orange/copper and dark brown, very flasy and TVR'ish :-)

Looks great, not a fan of brown, but that really is excellent

Went to the 1th European Barndoor Gathering in my hometown Amerfoort.
A fantastic vintage car show of Volkswagen Beetles and Busses.
A lot of capers even staid the ight over on the side.
I think over 200 cars were displayed.
