Slept in, got a new crankshaft sensor for the corsa (suffering vauxhall disease, cut out and running poor)
Picked up my niece, too her to see her granddad (families eh?!?!... long story)

Then corsa played up so parked it kerb side so I could wiggle under and change sensor (stands are currently holding tvr off the floor)

Then saw a friend, iron man 3, food and lots of laughter :-D

Can't complain

Took the roof off and went shopping in the Chimaera, guy in a Range Rover pulled along side with a big grin and said "that sounds brutal". "Range Rover engine" was my reply, to his beaming pleasure.

Got home and then took my 5 year old grandson for a drive, the long way to Waitrose, bought some ice-cream (their Colombian coffee flavoured own label magnums are the mutts!), and drove home. Put the roof back on just before it rained.

Took a few things to the dump in the S with the roof off, popped to the supermarket and picked up a bottle of Talisker and the car made lots of nice noises. smile

Sitting with my finger in the air and doing nothing .
Reason is drilling through my finger (in and out )

Gladly I can hold a glass with my other hand.

Future must be better so lol.

After spending the morning sorting out some of the Garden for the winter we then haD a Visitor arrive to inspect the progress and have a good old TVR chatter Coffee and catch up.
Some have asked for pictures of Richards MK1 Vixen which he has kindly said no problem so I will put them on a separate thread so those searching for MK1 pictures in the future can find them on a Google search.
Another Great Day

Out of the garage - I opened mine, looked at the taimar, had a quick word with her then closed garage door.

Don't miss driving her yet, but it'll soon get that way...
Other to that a lazy day.

Had my Vixen S2 out in the sunshine earlier ! Quick wash and leather, catch up on a few minor jobs that have mounted up over the summer, debating whether to remove the rocker cover and do some polishing ?
Other than a few extra chips gained by me doing a few track days , she is ready for the NEC in November !

Been to a demonstration of the mysteries of Megasquirt mapping
Looked on in awe at a Euann Whalley turbo install - a thing of some beauty
Run 13.2 seconds, ending at 107 mph, for the quarter mile at my first ever visit to Santa Pod (or any drag strip for that matter)
Driven home 80 miles through flood water and pouring rian in my Chimaera, which drove and handled immaculately.

Hi B,
You are one of the few to see her in the flesh. No, this picture is a year old and she still has the sleeper and stacks fitted.
I only shared this pic with Mr. Gray to show that I like him have a buffer attached to my arm! Looks fast just standing?
Thank you for your note,
D.

That's the reason I chose the screen name. If I were making any less progress, there'd be none at all.

Are you up for one of those gloveless TIG lessons (AKA electro-shock therapy), this weekend?

Best,
B.
