My dad has had this car 31 years now sadly it hasn't been used for at least 10 years. But is in good order new engine, great chassis etc. it will be back on the road in the next year or so. We havnt been around old tvrs much for at least a decade just wondering how many early 3000ms were made are they rare? I can only recall seeing 2 others with cortina mk2 back lights.
When I read your script, I got to the bit that said it's 31 years old and been stored for 10 and thought oh no here's another one for the knackers yard. She looks like new, I take it you've got a nice dry warm garage for her to sleep in every night?Yeah it's been dry stored all the time it's been off the road, plus every year it was on the road, although used in all weathers, was my mother daily drive for years, me and my sister used to go to school in it, my dad would clean down and paint the chassis with decent rust protective paint. Including body off approx 20 years ago so it's survived in very good condition, does need a repaint tho.
Some nice cars appearing on this thread great to see these pictures

I have a few pictures of 1600M on my PC with those early rear lights, are those also rare as the 3000M?
According to Graham Robson's book again there were 57 1600Ms made in '72 and 11 in '73. The 1600 seems to be the rarest of the M series - early or late. This must be the best £1.04 I've ever spent on eBay.Please post some more pics.
