Slightly annoying because im looking for one, I was away on hol' when this auction ran with no internet.... Not inclined to pay that for it especially to someone who buys and sticks a massive mark up on whilst, adding no value at all.... I have a 4 letter word in mind that starts and ends with t....

There seems to be a pattern here where nearly all the cars that have either sold at Auction and on E bay have ended up in dealers hands I cant help wondering if the MK1 that sold on e bay a couple of weeks ago will be the same with the buyer doing more research adding all the history together properly and entering in a historic Auction I hope not but who knows.

no mention that anything has been done to the car since it was on ebay
i made the seller an offer after the original listing ended, but this 'dealer' beat me to it
It is frustrating that dealers buy many of the few cars that come up and then put a massive mark up on them. I don't like it because I don't think it adds anything to preservation of the marque and just skews values which then confuses sellers into thinking their cars are worth more than the true market value. no mention that anything has been done to the car since it was on ebay

However, they get them because they're on the ball. If you want one you have to be equally so, move very quickly and possibly even be willing to place a deposit before seeing the car if you can't get to it straight away. It's a risk but ....

during the auction i was working and was unable to bid. was very surprised when later i saw it had 'sold' at 9500
after it ended and was relisted i spoke to seller and offered to pay over the asking if i could see the car on the weekend. But the seller just accepted the first bid at asking price (9500)

Given how rare Pre-Ms are (less than 1000k in total left surely?!) I'm surprised they're all still under £20k - especially when compared to MGs or TRsHowever, they get them because they're on the ball. These care are due a increase in value - just look at the MGCs!!

No Idea Chris the Seller is a bit of a collector as well he has the Dealership in Wimbledon and has a healthy range of Quality Cars in stock and likes to have a selection of classics around I often see a different Classic in the showroom when I pass.I like the idea myself its always a crowd puller to draw people in I don't know why more dealers don't do the same good marketing IMOP.

Anyone seeing that picture with that price will say wow how cheap but remember our cars are like plastic lunch boxes and sometime the contents have fantastic food sometime they have dried up sandwiches and sometimes mouldy Cheese and sometimes they are empty its a lot harder to identify a Lemon from pictures when they are not made of steel and showing there age and condition on topA
