All come down the the reserve??
lot of work in that car though and a lot of expensive parts.
N.
Yes just a shame the money was not spent in a slightly different way and i think there would be a wider market for the car

Not much hope for it, as most want a ford unit. Add on all of the other bits to make it bearable and you will have a small fortune in that one!
Best,
D.

Agree at least its a lesson to others when you take a restoration in this direction the money spent is like flushing it down the drain.
That car rebuilt to that standard at least keeping period features would have made 25k plus over there when you think that one of the best Vixen OE restorations sold for over 20k 10 years ago.
I am not tying to have a dig at anyone but the reality is there to see.

Just for thought. I have be to many events far and wide...people always walk up and say " where is the v8"?.this sort of problem always goes with it was a kit car. Until this sort of thinking ends, there will always be a problem with TVRs.
I do believe that it is your car and do what your wish. I also know for fact that a restored car back to standard brings more money than an altered TVR.
Time will tell all.just my OHOA.
Best,
D.

Let's face it, this is a debate that will never end.

Some owners are happy to alter their cars , some prefer originality.
Some want more power and are prepared to swop engines+transmissions to get it. Some are not.
Some want better handling and completely revise/change the suspension. Some regard this as an abomination.

Sale price ?? I'm sure that too could be argued about which fetches better prices.

I think that is just part of the experience. In some cases it's quite valid to ask the question of what was original in the first place, as it's not always obvious, but so what ?

It's all part of the fun !!

I see they have added a buy it now price which i think has to be 10% above the reserve price so if anyone really loves it that much they could have it here in Europe with shipping and 5% duty for about £16000 if you really wanted the spec you could not build it for that
