Doesn't shed much more light but see Richardson's advert from 1965.

I've also found another advert for a1962 MKIIA with a MG engine car with modified bodywork and wheelbase ! but Ferrari red in 1964.

I have spoken with my friend again, Adrian Leeming,& he says he did buy the car from Richardsons, in 1965/66 but is unlikely to be the one in the advertisement as he only paid £125 for it as the original engine had been replaced with a 1172cc side vale Ford & the steering needed some sorting.
He has a picture of the front which shows flared headlamp covers. I will put it on the forum when I get it.
He was buying & selling cheaper & older TVRs in the 1965/66 period & had 6 pass through his hands.

Interesting car the reg. FC is an Oxford number - any more clues on who did the conversion, looks quite professional.

Grantura MK3 Originally built for Gerry Sagerman to race Don has widened the arches and fitted wider and larger wheels.
This car is an amazing example of what to use our cars for driven to Most TVR events not Trailered no matter what the distance last month a 1500 mile round trip to attend and the car amazingly has not got a single rattle when I went for a spin great car and a great owner.

Just arrived after a 750 mile drive

I found this advert for a Grantura with " Ferrari style back" in Gerrards Cross (Autosport 1966) could be the same car.

I like the look of the one above it, assume that was Ted Worship. 200bhp and all round disc brakes for £2000, get me that time machine!

Oliver.

Agreed there! £2000 in 1966 is about £25,000 now - I should have invested then but was too busy munching on Farleys Rusks at the time to be bothered.

You could have bought the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato 2 VEV for the same price so the Griffith was probably not such a good investment.

Ted Worswick's Griffith again at Oulton - note it doesn't comply with the latest FIA spec!

I think this is being restored by Richard Bishop Miller.

Really? I thought this was the barn find that had no paperwork or id and had been part converted to a drag car, it got sold a few times on fleabay and someone broke it up and sold the shell IIRC
