Shame about a piece of history being lost. Just my opinion.

It was basically impossible to save the earlier paint job properly.Best,

I was able to find what I thought was the original colour from underneath the
license plate lamp and matched the current white to it. That is the cars history
from the very start. The green "paint job" might have looked wild on the interwebs,
but wasn´t so in reality. The car received its very first prize on a Classic Car Meet
as soon as the green was gone.

Not so. When it was white, it was just a every day Griffith. When green, it was the motor show Griffith.
If it is your car, do with it what you wish!
I will stand behind my comment.

I wasn´t really trying to talk you into changing your opinion on the green car, quite the opposite,If it is your car, do with it what you wish!
I will stand behind my comment.

I was interested in your opinion but also a bit surprised that you value a show appearance so highly.
It is only one part of the cars actual history but never mind, it is,as you say, my car, the every day Griffith
Cheers!
