Oh no, please don´tbiggrin

When I stripped my car for the paint it became apparent that is was very original, only 17K miles on the clock and much nicer than first thought so you really only needed to see past the Larry Watson type panel paint and somewhat creative interiorlaugh. I found the original colour under the licence plate lamp so now its back to where it all started.

Well, I call it 1800S so we clearly agree!
Now that's sorted.

The white Griff looks really nice!

Towing with only 90 hp is not to recommend, not even with a car as light weight as a TVR on the trailer (my daily drive at the time did not have a tow bar so I had to borrow a friend’s car). When going uphill I was overtaken by Lorries on several occations.
But the alternative was to drive home in an unknown car without MOT almost 500 km, not an option.

I agree, Hayes was really good to deal with but basically I was just tired driving around in Santa Hat and wearing sunglasses, it is also illegal to drive with a ski mask on in Swedenbiggrin

The car was done for the world of wheels show. This is were Barris and others would showcase there work.
Not ot my liking, but shown in the day was most likely a hit?
Best,
D.

Indeed, now you mentioning it, in those days they did a lot with hot-rods et c, and a Griffith 200 could also be seen as such.
Its a car most will remember and with a story, so I guess thats a 'good' thing.

Interesting revised (Aston Martin style) bonnet vent - it is is similar to the Aitchison car in Filby's book. Do you have any history.

Also I note from the photos on the Grantura Registry website the car has been recently restored do you have any photos / background.

The car does have a bonnet that is very similar to the one in Filbys book page 99 my guess the modification was for cooling as it was used in club racing. History as I know it UK reg VUX477 was claimed to have been raced at Silverstone in 1967 and 1968 at Aston Martin owners club and Sunbac meet? Around 1971 7B230 was exported to the USA and stored in a garage in upstate New York till I purchased the car in 2013 and have since restored it and drive all the time.
