Some old pictures of my S2 Vixen, purchased in 1992. The car was supposed to have been fitted with a Lotus twin cam engine. This was missing, so I was the first Vixen with a Ford Zetec fitted. The first variant was using an 1800 130 Escort SI Engine using a Formula Ford setup. The second setup used a Scholar 2.0 engine with Jenvey Throttle

This was an old picture of the car given to me by one of the previous owners. Can you see the childseat on the back shelf? Lol

This was when I pulled the car from its final rusting place.

This was me and the Mrs in second position on a parade lap at Silverstone before the Speed 12 caught us all up!

Down at Beaulie Motor Museum for a TVR Club event (parked next to my old mate DOV)

Pictured at the Uxbridge Car Show where me and my old pal Bretty boy used to show off the Tiv's

Nice photo's. Haven't seen your car before. What's the story with the Vixen now? Your profile suggests you're currently restoring it and going to change the engine?

Hi Bernard, you will find these wheels on many Chevron race cars – in bolt on and center locked versions. It seems to be their own development? Have a look at http://www.chevronracingcars.com/index.html
Cheers A.

Yes all stripped bare. Sits on new chassis. But thats the progress so far,,, very slow progress too :-(

The car got around a bit as I was the Middkesex RO for a while... it even made the cover of a sprint and a centre spread!! Lol

Engine, might just leave the engine as it is but perk it up a bit. Otherwise Duratec route!

Steve is that Rover BRG metalic? Thats wht I had my car painted!

Might need nuclear fusion reactor by the time I have the body ready!!

I do like the Duratec engine, it seems like the perfect unit for the car. However I'd guess quite a bit of work to re-route exhaust and make everything fit on the opposite side OK.

For me, I'll stick to the xflow and if a do win the lottery it would get treated to a BD engine. Proper old school screamer.

The paint code on mine is unknown - just a BRG ish non-metallic. Not a great paint job and quite shabby as done back in the 80's.

Arnfried, Neil,

Thanks! Those are among the best looking four spoke wheels I've ever seen. They are (to my eye) even better than the Revolutions or the American Racing Daisy wheels.

Best regards,
Bernard.

That´s right, Bernard. I agree if the rims are black or grey, not silver.
I also like the Torque Thrust D and the Salt Flat design if we talk about wheels with more than four spokes.

Out of interest and a little quiz for those who might be interested…The Chevron Mag wheel was actually fitted to 1 particular car with a great deal of TVR lineage….as OEM I think…
Anyone want a guess.

Great spot Neil, I hadn't realised where I had seen them before until you posted that but just double checked with a period photo in Filby. I won't give it away, but the newish owner may be along shortly...

I'll have to do more checking but I think this BARC Oulton Park 5th September 1964, 1st Peter Clarke Ferrari 250 GTO, 2nd Tommy Entwistle 3rd J Cuff Jaguar E Type.

This is Tommy's Mk3 lightweight, he had an 1800s bodied car later on, do you know how much of either cars made their way into the GEM.

Rob

I'm not sure but the White car may be Alastair McHardy's lightweight which was at the same meeting.

NB - The GTO is now owned by Nick Mason
