Question, are Dutch number plates like UK ones and issued to the car, so stay with the car; or are they like German (and French?) and changed when the car changes owners?

for France, vehicles are given a new registration number:
- Since April 15 2009 for new vehicles
- Since October 15, 2009 for used vehicles registered in the old system

Since the introduction of this new system, the vehicle retains the same license from the date of first registration until its destruction or export, and this regardless of the identity or address of the successive owners.
The new number consists of a series of 7 alphanumeric characters like this: AA-123-BB

But if you have a car with old registration and don't proceed with the sale of your vehicle or if you don't change your address, you will keep your plates of the old registration, and your car registration (old system : 1234 AA 62).

The number plates on Dutch cars stay with the car were ever or to who'm ever it goes as long as its in NL.
sadly we can't get personal plates like in the UK seems to be possible.

I'm now in the Tuscan V8 files and or clones like on Vixen base or Tuscan V6 base,
starting with this red one with modern 302 engine.

Hey Rene

Would you happen to have any more engine bay photos of this red one? I'm curious to see if they managed to retain the smog pump, and it's also very interesting to see they managed to fit the tall 302 inlet manifold - I think this is from an '88 Mustang (or similar). I'd also like to see the exhaust manifolds to see what route they decided to take ;-)

You sure do have a lot of nice pictures!!!

cheers
Nick

Thanks, I've had a lot more TVR pictures, but also lost a lot a few years ago.

the red Tuscan with that 302 is still online, here you can find also more pictures, perhaps there is also a build log online, but at the time I was more interested in complete cars.

here you can see more of the red car>

edit, I also have some pictures with a 302 engine from other Tuscan clone's were you can see more of the exhaust manifolds running downwards etc.
I thought I've read somewere in a TVR book that the TVR 2500 and 2500M have a bit wider chassis because they were ment to be for a V8, but later due to environt things? came with the 2500 straight 6 engine? something like that I believe it was.?

indeed, well noticed, in the last 3 pictures from the part 2 pictures you can see some difference, guess they changed it :-)
a cage and other seats with headrest? and the belts mounted pretty high on the cage I believe, its a bit hard to see though.

A lovely example of a Vixen converted to Tuscan V8 with 302 engine, I had some contact with the owner a Doctor in the USA back in 2006/2007 or so, because I was interested to buy, but since the car was in the USA I did not dare too, to complicated for my brains to cope with...(yes I'm sad :--))

Lovely car!

GTRene said:
A bit deceptive, as that engine may be very exciting, but does not produce 400BHP. With that dual plane manifold, it should have the low end stump-pulling torque of a tractor.

Why does it say "M chassis?" I can't see any distinguishing M chassis members, like the high upper engine bay ones, or the front crossmember.

Best,
B.
