the felt runners on the sidescreens of my 3000S need replacing.
The question is, how to remove the old runners to fit replacement ones.
I have already bought a set of 4 window latches complet with screws and gaskets.
I imagine there are little screws in the bottom channel to remove first, something like the sliding Windows on the original Austin Cooper S.
Andrew, have you already changed the runners on your Red 3000S !
thanks in advance
Alan

Hi Alan
Yes i replaced mine a while ago they are rather easy to replace its as simple as take apart and start with the two small recessed screws on the top rail then remove the glass the bottom rail does not need removing to change the rubbers i had to as i was re chroming one side but its quite an easy task it must be i managed it ok wink

PS dont loose the two little screws they are a pig to find replacments

The runners i got from Adrian Venn at Exactly TVR as he was the only one with the OE material which is in short supply and at the moment he needs to get more as i called him to check.
Others us or supply a rubber runner that is IMOP rubbish.
In order to conserve the stock of the OE material i used the Early Mini bottom runners as they are the same quality as the OE material you just put a couple of mm of packers under them to bring the height up a bit although you may not need to as i think there is some variation between frames.
The OE material has a metal stiffener in it that the other one on the market has not and the OE has proper fabric covering it etc whereas the aftermarket stuff i have seen used is just rubber with a flock type finish sprayed on horrid but fine if they are going to live in the boot wink

The side windows are such a unique part of the car that attention to detail on that part of the car is important IMOP.
