steering wheel broken

well, i took the 3000s for a drive and enjoy the sunshine, fantastic.
But the steering Wheel seemed very strange and i found that one of the spokes is broken where it joins the rim.
Were they welded to the rim before being covered.
Also is the center boss spline Triumph or Ford. If it's Triumph i'm in luck because i have a Mota Lita with a Triumph boss i can use while i get the original Wheel repaired
