No they are not fibreglass but the front quarters have been cut at one end to fit the Sprint bonnet and if I do replace that bonnet I would like a decent set of front quarters.
So you don't need a complete set and if you keep that bonnet the ones you have are fine they clean up and polish up fantastic and are thick enough that if there are groves and marks then that can be sanded out then polished.
It would be nice to keep that bonnet as its part of the cars history and history is a lot of what these cars are about.
The Bumpers are to rare to waste and that set should stay with that bonnet if they have been adapted to fit that's a cool feature can you post some close up pictures of them on the bonnet

Sounds like Andrew has saved you some money there Steve! To be fair he is right, the rear bumpers on out Mk1 looked awful but they are so thick it is possible to get them to a fantastic finish. And Andrew is the expert on blingy polishing laugh

Sorry I missed your call earlier this week, seem to have been in and out of poor reception areas this week. But it sounds like you're making progress, or at least working out where you are heading with the project. If I don't speak to you before, see you next Thursday.

Oliver.

The rubber can be replaced with new if you want to keep it I have seen other cars with the rubber no idea if it was something they did at some point at the factory I am sure one of the experts will tell us

I would weld those up and re profile them. Early cars were fitted with a rubber welt to help fill the gaps between the body and bumperettes.
Keep up the great work....need to see it next year at the pre 80s meet!
Best,
D.
